Actually, this works great. I borrowed a disk, (7GB to big for me to DL), and was able to use a friends steam account to login to steam - you can't even install the game without logging onto steam. Made an ISO first and mounted that. Installed the game fine under Vista 32 bit and updated it via steam. Made sure it played properly. Booted into my XP 32bit installation, copied the files from the crack and was able to play from the Vista directory I originally installed it to - no steam installed on the XP system. Here's an update.... By default a legit install puts the game files in the Program files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Lost Planet Extreme Condition folder. After Applying the crack, I copied an the Lost Planet Extreme Conditions folder onto another partition, booted into my XP Pro 64bit installation, (which originally I tried to install under but the installer told me the machine didn't qualify), and ran the DX9 exe and the game plays fine - Movies and first part anyway.

But I have the lost planet Unleashed version which does not require Steam but the crack that came alon is very unstable. Can I then use this crack for that version?
