Look guys the game must be fine it's just that when i start to play ( when i press XR_3DA.exe in /bin folder ) i get this error message that says some freaking thing in russian or something like that.And the only thing i could get was 2Gb..Because its just numbers.the hole thing was in russian..Anyway i couldn't play ..But probably that's because my computer is not good enough for this game.Hope you can play ;).The doownloading speed was great.I will seed anyway ;)

Right click on "My computer" choose "Properties", then choose tab "Advanced" and click "Settings" in "Performance" section, in newly opened window choose tab "Advanced", there will be "Virtual memory" section with information about your current swap file size and button "Change". Click and increase swap size to at least 2Gb. Little advice - do not make it selfgrowing 2-4Gb, but set it static min size = max size. In this case Windows will not fragment it, and performance will be slightly better. Taken from google.

Gotta agree with 'Whenusave', when i downloaded it, i imagined "Custom Edition" to be: the game, accompnied with a few mods or something. Imagine my woe, when i find the "Custom Edition", actually refers to the games majority enviroment being saturated (or rather not) with black and white. Since it has downloaded, i have decided to give back to the community by seeding this constantly. I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but is there a way to reverse this Mod? Thanks in advance.

To ioulord247 : Maybe you need to try this ? Go to this site DLL-files.com - xrsound.dll, free download And download this file replace it with the original file maybe it fix your error?! Note that i only give you some advice : dont download it if you dont trust the site or file,you can search somewhere else on the net...But i cannot believe the game doesent work? Dopeman's games always work for me. I always do this: 1)Download the the torrent to desktop 2)Create a map named S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 3)Extract all to this map that you created 4)Play the game! Note that you update your Soundcard and videocard.... Im running on VISTA BASIC and the game works perfect!

Hi I tried the game. I always prefer games from skullptura or dopeman, but this time is frustrating. The black & white mod make your eye crying of pain ! :S. Its soo unconfortable to play! And the game crash for me between two maps, or when i enter some pieces or during a lot of action. And no its not linked to my spec, i have 2gig of ram. its not that. I spend a week getting the torrent, then find there's no "Setup,exe" included in the archive, as explained in ReadMe.txt. " How to Install Place the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl disc into your DVD-ROM drive. If the Installer does not automatically run after the disc mounts in the operating system, manually Explore the disc and run "Setup.exe" to launch the Installer. " Lots of info in readme's, but no patches, nor installation files. So how are all you people playing? Are you adding/overwriting all the torrent files to your existing game installation? I've played through the original game twice, and love the game. Would like to see these changes in it, fer sure.

Ehmmm something really weird is going on when i play S.T.A.L.K.E.R, I accept first mision and walk out of the underground hall, but then the air/sky is bad tripping... if i look up u see the graphics doing weird stuff, but if u keep looking to the ground everything looks fine? i get the same prob as #35 even with a new no dvd crack and i figured out the error is in german and the main part means "Functioning needs the game a page-file of at least 2 GB. Adapt please the system configuration before the game is started again." some one help please i really wanna play the game
