I've tried changing the .exe's to 95 and it still doesn't work. I changed the graphics card to "Intergraph Intense 3D" and it says it won't run unless it's 95. I assume lots of people are having this problem.....

For Vista Users unable to alt-tab to the error message and right click to close it: Simply hold "alt" when you are alt-tabbing, and then you can right click and close the error message. I tried the game with Intense 3d graphics or however it is called and the first 5 minutes of gaming are fine. BTW I'm using Vista Ultimate x32

The only fix really is to right click on the shortcut icon, go to compatibility tab, and run in compatibility to windows 95. As for the game itself, it will run in high speed, unless ur using a dinosaur*old computer*. Google urself a program for slowing down ur pc while u play the game, and ur set. ^_^ HAPPY SHOOTING!!

I'm having a bit of trouble aswell. I have set it to W95 and I have chosen the Intergraph Intense 3D (I've tested other ones aswell, but ppl said that one worked) but when I try to install after chosen all those Scenery Data, Room Data, Music and all those it sais 'Unable to find the file. Please reboot and try again.' Any tips?

THATSICCNESS Go fuck yourself... Stay in school fool, these words are very easy to spell: 1. Here, not hear 2. Sense, not sence 3. Make, not mak Shit, are you a special needs kid? Bone didnt make the game, Capcom did. I had no problems making this work (XP Pro 2600 SP3) using a wireless controller. No lag at all.

i used vista home edition with directx 10 and this game was worked normally. but the problem is there isn't sound when i play it. is there someone can help me with this?? is there virtual windows 95 in vista??

i got this game working on vista dont know how or what i did only problem i get is animations are a lil quick and with jills game when barry shoots the zombie after a few words everything seems to stop apart from sound

I could never get the game to install past 65% (even with my original disc) I got a .img rom of the Directors Cut for PS1 off of Playstation Fortress (psfortress . com ) and it seems to run much better off a emulator than the pc version does on new computers so if anyone can't get the pc one to work swing by there and get the rom and the emulator.

SOUND Problems ?! i'v fixed it Muhahaha.... (using vista 64) just copy the hole cd on your pc. start the resident evil.exe with windows 95 compatibly and 640x480 resolution. sound works fine.. but BTW i'v got the original cd of this game... but i hope it will work. Souljah
