While Sofia Coppola's is shooting on proven by times cameras of 80th, Korean director Park Chan-wook is not afraid to experiment. Together with his younger brother staged "Revenge trilogy" he has filmed 30-minute movie "Paranmanjang" on iPhone4.
Project title is roughly translated as "The vicissitudes of fate". The fisherman catches the bait a woman's body. In the horror, trying to get rid of the corpse, the hero becomes entangled in fishing line, loses consciousness and wakes up, already being in women clothes. Further action develops from her point of view and shows the traditional Korean view on life and death.
The film's budget amounted to about 130,000 dollars. Park Chan-wook has attached to the iPhone lens, and believes that the work on the movie was no different from shooting his previous works.
"We were looking for locations, organized samples, filmed a documentary about the film - that was all done with iPhone. The process was no different, except that there was a little".
"Paranmanjang" will come to cinemas in South Korea on January 27.
