“Best Actor” in Goya Award

Spanish cinema academy announced nominees for its top award. Maximum awards - 15 - in the drama of Alex de la Iglesia about the circus love triangle "Balada triste de trompeta", which received two awards in Venice Film Festival.
Among the nominees for "Goya" Award for Best Actor is Ryan Reynolds in "Buried alive".

A certain piquancy to the future ceremony gives the fact that the director of "Balada" is headed the Spanish Film Academy. Announcing the nominees, Alex de la Iglesia drew journalists' attention, that not all movies are filmed in Spanish. For example, the drama of Rodrigo Cortez "Buried alive", which received 10 nominations, filmed in English, and the tape "Pa negre" ("Black bread") (14 nominations) – in Catalan dialect. "We should be open. To survive the crisis, it is necessary to enter the international market", -said Iglesia. In addition, the director is going to move the awards from Madrid to Barcelona and to continue to expand the audience for the ceremony.

"Balada triste de trompeta"- a story that originated during the Spanish Civil War. Son of a clown miraculously survived and decided to avenge his dead father. But time is running out and a chance to find the killer and not folded. The hero grows up, hired a white clown to the circus and begins to battle for the heart of the beautiful gymnasts in which is also in love a despotic red clown, he is the owner of the circus.

At the Venice Film Festival picture has not received an unambiguous assessment, but the jury awarded the film for direction and screenplay.

"Goya" for the best film can get four movie: "Balada triste de trompeta", "Pa negre", "Buried alive" and "We are under the rain" ("También la lluvia").
Alex de la Iglesia, Augusto Villaronga, Rodrigo Cortes and Isiar Bolyain (the only woman in the foursome), who shot these movies claim to the title of best director.

Among the Spanish actors Ryan Reynolds American's name looks unusually. It competes with Javier Bardem ("Beautiful"), Antonio de la Torre ("Balada triste de trompeta") and Luis Tosarom ("We are under the rain").

Interestingly, the film by Alejandro González Iñárritu "Beautiful" has gotten only 8 nominations for the "Goya". Spanish cinema academics have ignored tragedy in the categories of Best Picture and Best Director.

25th awards ceremony "Goya" will be held on February 13.
