Fashion for Scandinavian detectives has touched director of "The Departed". Now Martin Scorsese is in talks with the studio Working Title, which owns the film rights to the novel of Norwegian writer E Nesbit "Snowman." Scorsese seriously interested in the novel and can add it to his already long list of upcoming projects.
The protagonist of "Snowman" Harry Hole is a senior inspector in the police Homicide Oslo. He investigates the disappearance of some Birte Becker and runs into several unsolved murders of women - each of them was married and on the crime scene has been found a snowman. Hole realizes that in his hands is the first ever Norwegian serial killer. All the victims were abducted on the day of the first snow. The offender, who was nicknamed Snowman, as if mocking the senior inspector, bringing him to the last verge of insanity.
"Snowman" - the seventh novel of Nesbit from the series of detective Harry Hole. Books about this hero were sold in 5 million copies. Therefore, adaptation of detectives of Norwegian writer automatically becomes franchise.
Adaptation of "Snowman" for the movie, most likely will take Matthew Michael Carnahan, the screenwriter of "Lions for Lambs" and "The Great Game."
The new film of Martin Scorsese "Hugo" will be released in January 5 next year. In the future, director has a lot of projects, one of which is remake of the drama "The Gambler", based on the novel of the same name Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
More recently, studio Summit acquired the rights to remake the Norwegian film "Bounty Hunters", based also on the novel of S Nesbit.

Warner doesn’t leave attempts to make a film on the classic anime "Akira". After going through a number of young Hollywood stars - from Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield and James McAvoy for the role of Tetsuo, to Chris Pine, Michael Fassbender and Justin Timberlake for the role Kanedy - studio decided that at the head of the project should be more impressive actor. The role of Kanedy has been offered to Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling, but now the main contender is Keanu Reeves. This year actor will be 47 years old, so that the English-speaking sector of moviegoers has already begun debate about the full miscasting of the project.
On the role of Tetsuo Warner will also invite the actor from the stars list - category A.

Final of the series M * A * S * H, which has been holding onto the first place from 1983 to 2010, now dropped to third place.
At least, 162.9 million viewers (in the last year the figure was 153.4 million) have seen the match. Pre-game show that started at 2 pm and went before the game, collected an average of 22 million viewers. At the awarding ceremony there are about 66 million viewers, about 14% worse than last year's result.
Immediately after the broadcast of the match, as you know, went out the next series of Glee, which brought 26.8 million viewers, ranking in the category of 18-49. Mini-contest with The Office, which came after the game in 2009, Glee has won, but in 2008 House MD has shown better rating.
