Write reviews for movies like "Hop" or "Alvin and the Chipmunks" - is not the most interesting deal, because, looking at one of them you can say with certainty that you had seen everything: a very naive and grotesque scenes, over and over again repeated stamps, virtually the same style of jokes and stuff like that. "Hop" differs from the aforementioned movies except the main character (after all this rabbit, but not squirrel or a chipmunk), but because the creators of this film come across the same mistake as their predecessors.
Unemployed guy Fred, after lengthy disputes with the family regarding his future, accidentally knocked in his car an Easter Bunny, who, besides, still knows how to talk. It later transpires that this rabbit is not eager to engage in his Easter duty, and dreams of becoming a drummer. Meanwhile, at the home of the rabbit is preparing a massive riot ... chickens.
I would not want to turn into a picky snob, critiquing cartoon, designed for children, but, alas, in a different way to assess its just not possible. All of us have become accustomed to the predictability and the beyond pathos in such projects, but usually, the creators somehow attempt to mask blatant secondary nature of their work. Here, all the forces and means of the film crew spent solely on the appearance of animated animals, quite forgetting in this case about anything like the original jokes and unusual situations.
In fact, the main and probably the only advantage of the "Hop" are a terrific study looks of computer animals: their facial expressions, animation movements look simply gorgeous. Chickens are so completely nice characters in the movie, because as already one of their appearance on the screen comes alive and for a short time it becomes funny.
At this point, the problem is probably still in the absence of distinct characters, rather than in themselves actors. The star TV series "The Big Bang Theory", Kaley Cuoco was totally out of place, not by applying one-tenth of her acting charisma. James Marsden tried to be even slightly funny, but all attempts went in vain. Still, there would be much better come full transition to animation in the style of "Rio".
All the above listed is, of course, the opinion of the viewer experienced, appreciating in the movies, especially any kind of flavor that distinguishes it from others. So, if you really did not expect from this film and you have kids, then perhaps it can be seen.

Movie "Hangover" in its time created a furor in worldwide box office, collecting at a very modest budget and the adult rating of about half a billion dollars. I must say, the success of this film is really deserved. That's why it is a little sad that the creators of the sequel "Hangover II" have filmed the film with the notion -"All the same, only twice more".
Heroes of the previous film: Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug once again preparing for the wedding. This time to tie the knot has decided Stu. And not just anywhere, and in Thailand. But in order not to repeat their epic adventures in Las Vegas, friends decide to just sit quietly by the fire with a bottle of beer, taking with their minor bride's brother. And suddenly, the next day, all that they are so wary of, is being implemented: the tattoo on the face of Stu, completely shaved head of Alan, it is unclear where the bride's brother, staggering and a complete absence of memories of events of the last night. To find the lost boy, friends once again need to go through fire, water, and a severe headache...
But perhaps the most important miscalculation of the sequel is very much a small number of new ideas and the plot is almost complete copy of the original story. History in the first film was quite complete and did not require continuing, but its concept and style of delivery would be completely amiss and sequel, whether it bigger some of its twists and new characters. Personality, in simple terms.
New faces in the performance of Paul Giamatti and Nick Cassavetes turned out much weaker than the same Chinese and Mike Tyson. The sensational even before the movie was released a scene in a tattoo salon (because of what it should have played a Gibson, then Liam Neeson) in the end proved to be very entrance and memorable.
Nothing bad can be said to the actors, who are undoubtedly the decoration of this comedy franchise. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis excellent play with each other. Create a new branch of a very successful franchise "X-Men" is incredibly difficult. Not only because of huge budget and special effects satiety last part of the trilogy, leaving little room for maneuver. Not only because it starred the real titans, and even the supporting roles played by well known actors.
But because think of another distinct theme, based on a rather chaotic universe of comic book series "X-Men" - not an easy task. Director Matthew Vaughn was not afraid of these problems and directed the film, which is not inferior, and in some ways superior to its predecessors.
What is not inferior? First of all, this is the level of special effects, which, speaking of the franchise "X-Men" is very strange to call special. Films in this series are literally woven from them, and find a hole in this dense fabric is absolutely impossible.
Now about the story. It's not a secret that this movie is about familiarity of Eric Lensher and Charles Xavier - the future Magneto and Professor X - their friendship, which later developed into ... No, not in enmity, rather, in an irreconcilable bowing to each other.
By the way, there will be appropriate to retreat for lovers of history. Long before the picture was aware that its main action takes place against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis, brought the world to the brink of global nuclear war.

With the decline of the franchise "Shrek," which brought full-length animation to a whole new level, the film studio DreamWorks Animation has just obliged to find it an adequate replacement. Otherwise, its leading position in this segment of the film industry very soon would be put under doubt. With the release of the animated film "Kung Fu Panda" there was hope that a new successful combination of flawless animation and utterly devoid of humor, vulgarity was found. The second part cartoon confirmed: in front of us the franchise, managed to raise the banner of DreamWorks even higher.
It is difficult to describe all the advantages of "Kung Fu Panda 2", while not being desperate spoilers. The animation of the highest class is so closely intertwined with a brilliant script that dissect these two ingredients that distinguish the animated masterpiece of mediocrity, separately is quite impossible.
In the case of a panda named Poe we are dealing with this hurricane action, organic and sometimes quite suddenly passing in touching the staging, which in turn disrupted really funny jokes.

The movie "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: on strange tides" has everything. London heyday of the Baroque, lush tropical scenery, sexy mermaid, the Spanish conquistadors, filibusters of all stripes, Edward Teach, nicknamed Blackbeard, his beautiful daughter and, of course, constant in his grimaces and trinket Jack Sparrow. There's no just one thing - "Pirates of the Caribbean" in that form and quality, in which it has won the whole world.
The first and most noticeable flaw of the movie, oddly enough, it's very Johnny Depp. From the first frame shows that he honestly fulfills his enormous fee, but no more. In the eyes of his former hero has no enthusiasm, nor the former prowess. He was very tired from having to comply with the prescribed his character codes of conduct and periodically pour liners in his style. Depp plays Jack Sparrow heavily, not the same way, like it was in the original trilogy.
Others stars of the main roles seem hardly better, but in their case the fault lies entirely on the scriptwriter, who could not think of any more or less memorable scenes or dialogue. Charismatic Barbosa (Geoffrey Rush), one appearance of which in the finals of "Dead Man's Chest" could provoke applause in the hall, looks like an old grouch. Captain Blackbeard (Ian McShane) endeavors to become the new Davy Jones, but does not inherit one-tenth of the grandeur and drama of the latter. His caring daughter (Penelope Cruz), despite his hot Spanish blood, causing a deep sense of nostalgia for lacking some outstanding advantages, but much more energetic and sexy Elizabeth Swann.
As for secondary characters, which, in theory, were supposed to supplant Will Turner and his beloved, Commander Norrington, as well as the inseparable couple - Pintel and Ragetti, then their images are so superficial and so deprived of bright traits that after watching the audience hardly at all will remember their story lines. And so why in the picture has appeared Judi Dench, whom filmmakers were so proud of to invite, and not at all clear.
The second negative point - is the sea. Or rather the almost complete absence of it in the picture. And this despite the fact that the film is dedicated to pirates, and not the archaeologists who went in search of ancient artifacts. No sea battles and nightmarish monsters, no even the weakest of allusions to the spirit of boundless freedom and adventure, which literally permeated every frame of the original trilogy and was the primary motivation for all heroes. It is obvious that the sea and everything connected with it, fell victim to the irrepressible desire of Walt Disney Company to reduce the budget because, as you know, shooting on the water are extremely complex, and special effects - very expensive.
And yet, paradoxically, "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: on strange tides" are worthy of going to the cinema. Even though the complete lack of dynamics and spirit, despite tired Depp, elusive villains and secondary characters. Worthy because the "Pirates of the Caribbean" - this is probably the best thing that happened to the adventure cinema since "Indiana Jones". They say that in quantitative terms the percentage of smart guys in the movies is much higher than in real life. "Good Will Hunting" became the exception to the bad rule.
The kid who grew up in a bad family and survived his father violence - what could get out of him in the real world? Two aspiring actors could not find a buyer for this great story for the simple reason that the main role in this movie wanted to play themselves. Obviously, they felt that no one could play better than them and moreover, their script - a ticket to "a great movie." They could sell it on their terms only after Damon gained enough weight as an actor, and their talent and patience were rewarded.
Picture were released in 1997, and with a budget of just $ 10 million collected more than 225. In 1998 it entered the top five movies in Hollywood. In two nominations - for best screenplay and best supporting actor (played by Robin Williams) – the movie has won an Oscar. Lead Actor in the movie Matt Damon has won twice: he was nominated for an American Film Academy as a contender for best actor and he received an Oscar as a co-writer.

The fifth “Fast and the furious” review

When in back 2001 has been released the film "The Fast and the Furious", hardly anyone expected that this movie about street racers will later develop into one of the most long-running franchises of today. Glamour girls, strong guys, nice cars and the adrenaline racing through the city - these are the attributes for which the audience and run in cinemas in the next part of the adventures of Dominic Torretto and his friends. "Fast and the Furious 5", following the tradition of the previous two parts, is increasingly moving away from street
racing, but the adrenaline and entertainment from it have not diminished.
Events of the fifth part are developing immediately after the final of fourth. Dominic Torretto rescued from prison by his sister Mia and (now) ex-cop Brian O'Conner. They have constantly to move from one country to another, fleeing from persecution of the security forces. Tired of the endless running around, Dominic and Brian assemble a team to rob the main culprit of Brazil and for earned money to heal nicely somewhere in a quiet and cozy corner of our planet. However, on their capture FBI sends their best agent, which can seriously spoil their lives.
With the story point of view, the film resembles a kind of mixture of the second part, and "Ocean's 11". The same mega plan, a long preparation, collection teams and long car chase at the end. I do not know, the lack of it or not, but it looks all quite rapidly. However, someone may not like it, and almost complete lack of street racing. Misunderstanding on the police cars between the main characters can hardly be called a race, because they are too little or too predictable. Now the whole emphasis is on the shootout and chase with gunfire than usual streetracing.
And now, perhaps we can go to the most important - the technical part for which, as mentioned above, we look like such action movies. And here is what: an excellent scene with the stolen car directly from riding a full-speed train, the heroes escape from the Special Forces, and of course, the final episode with a safe, for all it fantastic. The director apparently took into account the shortcomings of the fourth part and significantly reduces the use of CGI-graphics that are pretty spoiled some moments.
This movie is also interesting in that fact that here in the melee will get together two very important personalities of the modern brick-busting action: Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. One-fifth of all turned out the most star of them all. Here are reunited almost all the heroes of previous tapes. In addition to the central triple in the face of the Diesel, Jordan Brewster and Paul Walker, in the central roles are also involved Tyrese Gibson, Ludakris, Sung Kang, and many others.
What can we say in the end? "Fast and the Furious 5" is freed from many of the shortcomings and more modified version of the fourth part. The film "Scream" from one of the pioneers of the genre Wes Craven was a real breath of fresh air.

Those who do not mind a good laugh and laugh correctly perceive the creators of their own creation, do not worry - you have gotten to where you should.
But, let’s back to the pleasant. The cast of the earlier films has fully migrated here and it’s great. David Arquette, Courtney Cox and Neve Campbell are good as ever. Brand new actors also did not hit the face in the dirt and looked no worse than their older partners. By the aforementioned trio have joined quite popular on television or in low-budget movie Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin.
What can we say in the end? Wes Craven definitely keeps trademark. "Scream 4" is much better then very weak third part and it is kept at the level of the first two. Very cleverly picked up the current trends of the horror genre!
