Aishwarya Rai has exchanged her honeymoon on filming in a movie
In India, Aishwarya Rai - green-eyed Indian beauty is simply called - Ash. Now she is the most popular actress of Bollywood. And not only there. Hollywood and Europe has long been unable to resist the eastern charmer. Aishwarya's name adorned the list of "100 most influential people in the world", compiled by Times, and her curvaceous body forms are immortalized in the London Madame Tussauds museum.
- You're probably tired of endless compliments concerning your unearthly beauty ...
I do not believe them. But I always spiritually thank for them.
- Why do not you believe them?
Because beauty is not eternal. All this will change.
- But your title "Miss World" will not go away anywhere?
At these competitions I didn't represent myself, but my country. This is not Aishwarya then appeared, and India. I identified with my country, and I was very proud. I always knew that I'll never get into Olympics, so I think this contest is the opportunity to represent my homeland. It was important to me, but not the main thing. Then I started traveling. Incidentally, it turned out that I was very busy "Miss World" in the history of this competition. Where have not I visited! And I learned how little the world knows about India. Nobody even knew what it looks like an Indian. All took me for an Italian or Spanish, or, at worst, a mulatto woman - just because I have light eyes and skin. All were surprised, when I was spoken in English. Surprised that an Indian can be educated!
- Has your light skin ever interfere with your career? Indians are duskier.
I've never look at myself from this angle. As, fortunately, my directors. I always tailor my appearance to the heroin that I've played. By nature I have brown hair, but I always color it into the black. In many movies I wear dark contact lenses...
- What color are your eyes? Green?
My father always compared them to the sea. He said that they are aquamarine. In general, the color changes depending on the mood and the clothes I wear. But sometimes I play the Indian women with their eyes and hair.
This year, at Venice film fest, Mani Ratnamu - favorite director of Aishwarya has gotten prestigious award "Glory film director" and show his latest film "Raavan"- not only with Aishwarya, but with her husband Abishek Bachchan.
- To your name was added surname Bachchan: you become a part of the famous acting clan.
Yes, I've married with the son of the famous actor Amitabh Bachchan. We have the typical actor's family. We had our wedding in April 2008, after the end of my shooting in a large-scale historical canvas planned to spend time together. And then offer to play in continuing the "Pink Panther" with Steve Martin and Jean Reno. I hesitated, but my husband said: "This happens once in life. Agree, because we both grew up on films about the "Pink Panther". Steve Martin - King of Comedy! Well I did as he said.
Interview with Wentworth Miller about “Resident Evil”
He has been filming for more than ten years, and has a significant advancement in his career, as a screenwriter, Wentworth Miller is still inextricably linked with the only role: battling brothers - Michael Scofield in the TV series "Prison Break". Soon, however, all possible changes, as Miller took the lead in a feature film playing Chris Redfild in "Resident Evil: Afterlife". And though Chris - the main character in the cult video game after three released movies, he appears for the first time, reunite with his sister, Claire (Ali Larter) and teaming up with Alice (Milla Jovovich) in their journey to end the corporation Umbrella.
- Tell us about your role in the movie?
Well, I'm playing Chris Redfild. It is obvious that he was the protagonist in a video game from the start, but he first appears in the film version of "Resident Evil", so it was a kind of a problem, preparing for this part. I wanted to make my own study of the image and see what that would justify the expectation of fans, in this case be handled with respect to what has been, in terms of mythology and history. This idea was not far from the truth, and my job was to ensure that emerged in the fourth part, quietly become a part of this whole. I like to think that I have made all efforts to be among those who influenced the process changes.
- If you - Claire's brother, why did not she come back before and get you just in this fourth film?
This is an excellent question. There is a sort of reunion between the two in this part of the movie. This is the dynamic that I like about Chris and Claire Redfield, and that, I think, brings a new flavor, it is the fact that they - a brother and sister. This is - family relations. This is what the people sitting in the room can easily relate with themselves. Movies crammed with special effects and zombies - spectacular show. But at the same time, if you do not care about the characters of heroes, later, when with them is something terrible, this response and empathy does not arise. Thus, it was important to outline in detail the characters and the relationship between Chris and Claire, primarily to give additional weight to "buffet" of special effects.
- Zombies are pretty popular thing in modern culture. How do you think, why are they an inexhaustible source for fiction and horror?
I think there is something evil in this recklessness and ruthlessness, which is incredibly frightening and impossible to stop. This onslaught of terror, I think, speaks to our darkest fears of the evil that comes to us, and there is nothing we can do about it.
- When you become a part of something like this, do you go back to the video game as to the source, or do you view the movie itself?
It was a symbiosis of both. I asked producers to add and connect together the most significant events from video games which were directly related to the personal files of my hero, so I could get close to where it actually occurred. I was struck by how (at least in the earlier video games) he looked like a clear-eyed, with a thick tail hair. Someone who is only at the beginning of this horrific way. And then you meet him in the movie, and he has many miles from the start. He - quite a different person with other premonitions.
- How was it to be a new guy in the shooting team?
It was pretty smooth. They are - a great team with which you can work together, and there are obviously significant and complex framework, which Paul and Milla have created together. Like Paul has built a car and Mila is driving, while the rest of our team is going with them, and in parallel shot from the shotgun. It was only a chance to jump on board and immediately feel the breeze in the hair.
James Franco interview
James Franco, starring in the drama of Danny Boyle "127 hours" based on real events, gave a brief interview to the resource The Hollywood Reporter, in which he spoke about the peculiarities of shooting and expressed his attitude toward to masturbation.
- How did you prepare to shoot scenes in which there is an amputation of hands?
We shot this scene, just like any other "active" episodes. It was like a model in the early stages of work. In one of the first scenes my hand was wedged between two boulders, and I tried to free it. Before cameras were switched, Danny Boyle said: "I'll switch on the camera now, and you do everything as you do." I replied: "OK". Danny said that the scene lasted 22 minutes. I was exhausted, my arms and shoulders were purple, and only after that Danny was satisfied. In general, this scene has become a model of what he wanted from me in the future.
- And what was before you cut your hand off?
The same. I had an artificial arm, just like this, with muscles, veins and nerve endings, so I could only, following a script, begin to chop off her. We had a new digital Camera SR2K, connected to computers with cables, so operator had only to hold little cameras. Through these little cameras we can capture material which is inaccessible to usual portable camera. They allow you to shoot very long doubles. These long doubles by Danny shredded mercilessly, but his short cutting could not be more accurately demonstrates the authenticity of what is happening.
- Danny said that Aron Ralston, screen prototype of which you are playing, would have never answered the question of whether he masturbated when he realized that he was crushed by a stone for a long time. Does the fact that this episode was included in the film add a reality to what happens?
Well, he's a kind of gentleman, I think about such things he does not speak loudy. (laughs). And, perhaps, he did not want his mother read about it somewhere."
- But you have had to represent this process?
OK (laughs). You asked a question ... A lot of time I spend alone, especially when traveling or when I'm on the set. I live in hotels most of my life. I have nothing against masturbation, because I have many problems to solve in alone. You have to read a lot of school textbooks and so on (pause, laughs). That you ask me! So, when I'm alone, I masturbate a lot. I do not know why. Therefore, if it crushed stone on me for a long time, I would probably still masturbate.
Guillermo Del Toro Interview
Mexican director Guillermo Del Toro gave an Interview about his new project: "Do not be afraid of the Dark" and connection with the "Hobbit."
- Please tell us about your project "Do not be afraid of the dark". Do you like to scare small children?
"Yes, I like to scare small children and adults, too. Love this from my childhood".
- Small children are always afraid of everything. The main idea of your movie "Do not be afraid of the dark" is that something terrible is in your own home, and this is one of the biggest nightmares of every child. The fear many of us have moved from childhood to adulthood.
"What's funny is the idea of a blanket, which slides out of bed ... This is a classic moment of horror I felt as a child many times, but now has decided to abandon it. I suggested to the director Troy Nicci: "Let the little girl can find something in her bed under the sheets". You know, it's terrible. I think a large part of my imagination was formed when I was a kid, and now it enters into my films. I really like the idea that fear can return you to childhood and make vulnerable, susceptible to things, far from ordinary. "
- What exactly do you enchanted in the eponymous TV movie in 1973: the history itself or the way it was told?
"There is something really first-born in the tiny creatures, which for a small amount of extremely treacherous. This is not a gigantic monsters or werewolves, it's just a tiny soul, which is able to kill opponents of larger size. It hooked me.
- Can we talk a bit about what you've been doing lately and what will you do next? How is it difficult for you to give up "Hobbit"?
"It's very, very difficult. But I had no doubt why I did it, and I was convinced of the correctness of the decision taken by me in respect of myself and in respect of the project, by the way. I believe in it. My life, personal and creative, was full of plans, when it burst into "The Hobbit". But I beat to free up time to work on the film. You know that because of funding problems shooting postponed more than once and finally, the time has come when I had to deal not only with "Hobbit," but also other projects with which I was bound by contractual obligations. I could not give "Hobbit" a quarter of my attention, or half or three quarters. This film demanded of me 110% of my time and effort, which I couldn't give. I think then came a time when I made a difficult decision. "
- But you are still involved in the project as a writer?
"Yes, I'm co-authored the script. I cannot think or talk about "The Hobbit" in the past tense. I can talk about it only in the present. I have been involved in the creative process. Yes, I not a director and not entertain any illusions about this, but I'm a partner. I really want Peter Jackson shot the film himself. I fervently wish the film would be great, I work in a team and wish you all good luck.
- You said that your new film will be in 3D?
"Oh, yes. I am aware of the benefits of this technology and eager to try it in my next film. By the way, it will be shot in the genre of "good old horror movie".
Interview with Milla Jovovich
Interview with Milla Jovovich concerning release of "Resident Evil: Afterlife"
- Milla, tell us please, the film "Resident Evil" - the last, or do you plan to continue to act in this franchise?
Oh, do not know yet. We work on each film like it would be the last. We invest in each one a lot of forces, soul and heart, and we would certainly like to shot the next part. But, you understand, everything here depends on the fans - if they want another movie, then we will make it. We have a lot of ideas for a next part, so you just need to wait, as the current movie pass. Actually from the very beginning we did not plan to do from the "Resident Evil" a little series, so every part of it - a special experience for us.
- Don't you tired from the ubiquitous and invincible Umbrella Corporation?
Not at all, I like it very much! It has already become a part of my life, I've been working with it for 10 years. (Laughs) In this sense, it has become for me almost a family member.
- Milla, but what special should wait fans from the fourth part of "Resident Evil"?
Well, first of all, they will see Vesker (played by Shawn Roberts), Chris Redfild (Wentworth Miller), there will be new machines, even steeper and more dangerous than before. There will be a lot very successful cross-referencing to the game at this film - truly awesome battle scenes. If you like "Resident Evil", then you can be sure that it is now better than ever.
- That is, as you said, we expect the exceptional and most entertaining action?
Well, this year - yes. In this part we tried to combine all our experience from the previous three installments. And if people like it, then we are ready to do the next part to start from scratch and do everything even steeper.
- And what does in the "Resident Evil" attract you most?
Oh, I have a very warm attitude to the "Resident Evil" 3d, because for me it has become a part of great flirt through which I developed my own family, while we like to do this project. I really hope that audiences will enjoy what we have done, and if you like, we are ready to do more.
- That means you like to be action-heroine
But I've always dreamed about it! I grew up on the "Thundercats", "She-re: Princess of Power", read "Dune", loved science fiction and fantasy, the same "Lord of the Rings", for example. So it goes, that all my life I was going to this, and action-heroine - certainly part of what I have.
- Milla, with what directors it was most pleasant to work with?
Well, it is difficult to say, I have worked with many directors ... Somewhere, of course, with Luc Besson was very pleasant, because the roles that I had played were great, and he is such an amazing director ... Of course, my husband (Paul W. Anderson)- with him also very pleasant. But, of course, I was getting married to two directors, and I think with them just had fun all the work. (Laughs)
Gemma Arterton in Ridley Scott “Alien”
In an interview with The Times, supporting Stephen Frears film "Tamara Drewe", actress Gemma Arterton said that Ridley Scott is planning to discuss with her participation in the upcoming prequel "Alien".
Ridley Scott has looked "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" and was thrilled.
He wants to meet with me concerning "Alien" or something like that.
It seems that Gemma is not particularly closely monitoring the project. It is assumed that Scott saw her on the lead role in the film.
In addition, it became clear that Arterton will also play in the adaptation of Ruth Rendell novel "The Keys to the Street", which wrote the script for Christopher Nolan and that he himself had intended to film it, but eventually broke away from the project.
On account of British actress there are such hits as "Quantum of Solace", "Clash of the Titans" and "Prince of Persia", where Gemma has played a central role.
It is noteworthy that Scott just recently discovered some details of the coming film (of two planned prequel to the franchise).
"The movie will be rather tough. A kind of reverse side of the moon of this all. The central theme is gods and creators. A kind of space engineers. Have strangers been developed as a biological weapon? Or do they - the establishment of nature, which invades and cleans the planet? "
Both films will star in 3D. Will play or not in some of them Gemma Arterton, we will know soon.
Niels Oplev interview
Facts, rumors and speculations about the film "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" are enough not only to the long entry, but also on a film about film. No less fascinating than the tape by Niels Oplev. To begin with, the film was removed from the book of Stig Larsson, who managed to sign a contract with the publishing house and soon died. It came to film adaptation, which has become the most successful project in the history of Scandinavian cinema. According to the director, box-office has exceeded the budget by 25 times.
But that's not all: in the next year comes a new film version of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" directed by David Fincher ("Fight Club").
So, here is an interview with Niels Oplev director of the first and for this day the only version of "The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo".
- Please tell us for whom have you filmed this movie, who is your audience?
This story should appeal to women, because the main character - a very unusual girl, strong girl who can inspire by example. Her character is inspirational.
- Have you ever seen similar heroines in your life?
No. But I am surrounded by strong women. First, my mother - she is almost 90, but she arrived in Copenhagen at the premiere of my film. Secondly, my wife, well, and, of course, both daughters. And I like working with motivated, whole, strong female characters. Creating Lisbeth, her punk style and everything connected with it - I used from my experience of past years. About this subculture, its specifics, I know not by hearsay.
- What is the Lisbet, your heroine, strength?
She has been humiliated, beaten, raped, but she never felt like a victim. She fought, strikes back. It is very important - do not feel like a victim. Women need to understand this. The role of the victim - a passive role, and while women feel they are victims, men are easier to manipulate them and impose the position of a slave. But if a woman feels the strength to fight for her rights, she is invincible. Therefore, Lisbet is very important character, she is a role model.
- Wasn't it difficult for you to work in a new genre?
I would not say that it was difficult, but I felt the difference. Director can work with the material as he pleases. Despite the fact that the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" - is primarily a thriller, I took this story as a drama.
- Do you have something in common with the main character?
I cannot say that we have much in common, but he believes in justice, just as I do, and he was ready for it to fight. In this we are similar. In addition, we are both curious and inquisitive, want to get to the truth, and we have a good heart. Mikael Blomqvist - Swedish version of the famous German journalist Gunter Wallraf. They share a passion for secret investigations and camouflage. Gunter got a job in the worst German newspaper to write a book about how his staff drove people to suicide for the sake of the article. Wallraff was a hero in the 1980 and 1990, he opened the dark side of life. Gunter and Michael are similar: they are driven by the same motives - the restoration of justice and the disclosure of secrets.
- What is a good story for you?
Something from real life. Something that will make people to forget about everything in two, sometimes, two and a half hours. Something that will carry them into another world, new and interesting. A good story - a story that educates, says something new. Maybe it sounds old-fashioned, but I really wonder what people think, why they commit certain acts, why their lives are composed in such a way and not otherwise. It interests me, and I admire people and admire a reality. In every movie I'm looking for the essence of human life, if it is in the movie, then it's good.
Interview with “True Blood” vampires
Producer of the popular vampire series "True Blood" Alan Ball and actors Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer gave an interview for the September issue of the magazine Rolling Stone.
Alan Ball: "The idea of a vampire, having no sexual partner, is absurd. For me, bloodsuckers are incredibly sexy. I cannot imagine a story about vampires, associated with abstinence. I am 53 years and I do not feel myself like senior. They cause me pain, and I think they are ignorant in matters of a sexual nature. "
Stephen Moyer: "If you remember, so to speak, the initial stage, the vampire bites a victim in the neck and holes appear in it, which was not here before. This is a unique process of defloration, hymen break, which causes bleeding from the subsequent use of virgin blood. A sharp fang piercing the skin, so sexy. I think vampires are attractive. And then, according to, Robert Pattinson is a pretty hot guy (laughs)"
Alexander Skarsgard: "I like to compare Eric's my hero, with a lion. He looks so relaxed, his heart rate, probably, 15 beats per minute, but one can never tell when he will make an attack, claws, or wide yawn."
"I like to be mystic. I do not want fans to know about me too much. It is easier to maintain confidence in them. There is a risk that when you appear on the screen, they see no Eric, and Alexander Skarsgard. Even my father (Stellan Skarsgard) I learned to keep the integrity and protect my family from outside interference - there are things about which we can speak in public, and those about which we must keep silence".
"During the filming erotic scenes, I prefer not to wear a special codpiece, it is ridiculous. If we are naked on the script, then I should be naked. I always thought so."
Interview with Montana Fishburne
Montana Fishburne, daughter of actor Laurence Fishburne, starring in porn film for the company Vivid Entertainment, in an interview with the resource The Hollywood Reporter spoke about adult entertainment industry and her future creative plans.
- Did you speak with your family after the film?
"I spoke with my father. He told me that I knocked him out. Mom just simply says that she loves me. We do not discuss this question every day. She wished me luck and do not want me got into the dark side of the porn industry".
- What does it mean "dark side of the porn industry"?
"Drugs. Most girls have a very low self-esteem, so they resort to drugs and live a destructive lifestyle".
- When did you decide that this is what you want to do?
"I was interested in the entertainment industry for four years. When I turned 18, I began to think seriously about how best to begin my career. I was impressed by the success of Kim Kardashian after as her home video with pornographic content were produced by Vivid Entertainment. I decided to call the company and arrange a meeting. I have convinced Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch in that I know what I want, and we've discussed my film debut.
- According to rumors, your fee for the film made $ 250,000. Can you confirm this information?
"Actually, I cannot talk about this, though, of course, I've earned something. With the money I pay for my apartment".
- Have you other proposals from Vivid Entertainment after success of the film?
"Yes, we have had negotiations and we discussed possible projects, but I've not signed any documents yet. I do not know whether I want to do this right now: in fact, I get a lot of suggestions. I think firstly I'll look through all possible proposals and then make a choice."
- Can you give a hint about those proposals?
"I cannot detail, but it is play roles. I do not care whether my role will be spelled out in the script or do I have to use a free hand. It all depends on the nature of the project. If something really interested me, I'd be happy to be a part of this project. That's why I decided to play in that movie".
- How do you think will have that movie a negative impact on your future career?
"Video of Kim Kardashian has taken place, and everything is fine with her. Despite the backlash, she still continues this venture. I want to follow her example: release porn and stay a positive person. Without replicas: "She is the porn star".
- Your father definitely upset with your action. How do you think to resolve this conflict?
"Up until he begins to respect and accept me as I am, I do not think that we'll communicate a lot."
- Your father friends tried to buy the entire print run video in an attempt to prevent film release. What was your reaction to this?
"Yes, they tried to break out of the film, but the dvd were already on sale at that time. I understand that they wanted to support my father, but I'm glad that they did not work out."
- Have you received a traditional upbringing, despite the fact that you are the daughter of a celebrity?
"I was traditionally untraditional. My parents divorced when I was 2 years, and my father really was a famous actor, so the situation was entirely predictable. We had all the best: private schools, round the world trip. I was very happy. "
Interview with Daniel Stamm
German director Daniel Stamm, in an asset whose documentary film "A Necessary Death" and the short film "Off Hollywood & Vine", in an interview with the resource Shock Till You Drop talked about his first feature film "The Last Exorcism", which is produced by Eli Roth.
- After the release of such films as "Monster" and "Paranormal" Do you think it's time for a movie about the expulsion of a demon? Hollywood's latest proposal on this subject was drama "The Exorcism of Emily Rose", filmed in a similar genre.
"Yes, I like this movie. It's Interesting that the issue of expulsion of a demon no one knows at all whether it was true. Unlike "Godzilla", you certainly can't predict what will happen. It seems to me there is a natural interest in this species genre of horror films".
- A difficult task has set before you?
"Of course. I always thought that first, we should film the drama and give as much time as required to the development of the characters in order the audience empathize them. Otherwise, you can just pull their heads left and right, and all will not care.
Boys from the studio Strike Entertainment have been completely agreed with this. If the drama is strong, everything will fall into place. I'm not worried about the reliability of the documentary aspect, because in every movie it's unique. I like "Monster" and "Paranormal" in which it is important timing and pace. If you look like a movie in the company, the panic is assured".
- Patrick Fabian said that you had not given him any indication during the filming of scenes of exorcism ...
"I wanted to knock him off balance, because he was not supposed to know what is happening. The good thing about this approach, it is something you do not have to wait for the proper lighting or something else. All of your time you can spend on a job with the actors. For me, too many directors dictate actors what to do and this is wrong. You want hear what the actors have to say, you should keep them insecure, because it is - an experiment, and if it succeeds on the screen the viewer sees the real game. During the filming of the movie, we had 30 duplicates of one scene, and I saw how the actors are tired and angry at me, but suddenly it turns out that precisely these emotions and not enough for the stage. Only the internal tension of actors brings the desired result. The less I can say to them, the better is".
- Some films are sometimes of similar type based on improvisation in the process. Could you film the " The Last Exorcism " in a similar manner?
"Maybe. I do not know, I pulled it (laughs). There are so many layers in the scenario that the problem of how it all put together, can turn into a long-long project. So it was with one of my movies that hasn't scenario. The shooting came three years. The success of "The Last Exorcism" is in excellent scenario on which you can rely on, without being afraid of experimenting in different directions".
- You think long on the third act, before deciding how to finish it?
"There were a lot of options, what final do we want to see. Now it looks pretty ambiguous. But this is what we required, because if you close the door, you are adamant about what is your faith. I do not know enough I'm arrogant to tell America, what true faith is. So in one hand you take atheism to another - faith and push them together, but do it intelligently, providing arguments for both sides".
