Alpha and Omega
What is more important? Donate your love for the welfare of wolves, or try to persuade leaders to abandon traditions and simply coexist peacefully and to live or your life next to one you love?
From the one side this cartoon is easy adventure, but on the other hand, it is a drama, when for territory and food appear wars.
Teams of animators from the United States and India did their best in presenting the audience wolf lives in the cartoon "Alpha and Omega".
At first glance, it's very entertaining and funny, but at the same time full of dangers. Especially spectacular looks 3D effect - cute wolves muzzles protrude from the screen into the cinema hall, causing an irresistible desire to reach out and pet them.
About the plot: Omega - wolf, distant from the leaders. He wants to get acquainted with the most popular she-wolf - Alpha. And now fate throws him a good chance - reserve employees send them to Idaho. Both wolves have to unite in order to return to their homeland.
Children will be delighted, because each of the characters represented here is an incredibly charming and attractive, regardless of his behavior and assigned role. There are a lot of mad birds, crazy squirrel, as well as wise gander with his faithful assistant duck. In a moment of crisis in our world, wolves are vegetarians promoting healthy lifestyles without killing.
Natural landscapes are replaced one after another in the spirit of "road-movie", i.e. road adventure where the heroes have to go from point A to point B. Paragraphs B - this is the place where they were born. This home return will make them even closer to each other, from a small attachment will grow a great feeling.
This cartoon is dedicated to the memory of Dennis Hopper, who died of cancer in May 29, 2010. He was voiced by one of the wolves leaders.
Dedication at the end of the film looked very touching, reminding the audience about enormous labor of remarkable man and an excellent actor!

“Ice Age” director debut in the cinema
Producer of such animation cartoons as "Ice Age" and "Robots" Chris Wedge is ready to go into feature films. But this process seems to long and may go faster in relation to the adaptation of Kirsten Beykis novel "Lives of the Monster Dogs", which is a post-modern "Frankenstein."
Heroes of "dog-monsters" - a group of genetically altered dogs, which have created in the 19th century by Prussian mad scientists, hiding in the Canadian village. Animals can walk on their hind legs, have an incredible mind and talking through the built-in throat dynamics. In our time, experiment victims rebelled against their creators, dressing up in old costumes and go to New York, where behave like true aristocrats. The novel is written on behalf of New York student who becomes the chronicler of the luxurious dogs life, eventually acquiring a tragic tinge.
Chris Wedge has read Beykis book back in 1998, when it had just been published. The novel is so like the director, that he was personally involved in buying the rights to its film adaptation. Script writing entrusted to Adam Klein, who just finished work on the translation of cinema novel by Golfer Yona from the cycle "Artemis Fowl".
The movie will be filmed in the Fox studio. We should expect a lot of special effects. Wedge has for some time planed the transition from animation to feature films - last year he was assigned to the film version of the game Spore, and then going to film "Hugo Cabret" on which Martin Scorsese is currently working.
Wedge founded Blue Sky studio and launched into the world "Ice Age" franchise, which brought together more than 1.9 billion dollars in box office.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I test show
Warner Bros. Studio has held in Chicago a test screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." A few lucky ones who got into the cinema, in a few minutes before beginning, got to know what film they are going to watch.
So, SlashFilm gave a first review of one of the most anticipated film projects of this year.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" - a worthy continuation of the series, thematically and visually matured in style of fifth and sixth parts. However, despite the presence of several highly dramatic episodes and increase the play levels of the lead actors, the movie has two major drawbacks.
First. The filmmakers are too meticulously quoting literary source, bringing in a picture all book shortcomings. The scene in the forest camp too snug, but an attempt to dramatize the relationship of the three main characters is rather melancholy. Nevertheless, we have to admit that the three young actors try to make all best from proposed scenario. Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe are very good in the frame.
Second drawback - montage. Probably, this problem may be solved by filmmakers, as the first audiences could be offered "draft" version of the picture. Some episodes give the impression of a hastily-cut and rambling, some outrageously tight, for example, a scene of Ron jealousy.
Fortunately, this is - only a small part of the film.
The rest of the film was most impressed. Operators work is amazing. Part of dramatic episodes and creative solutions to the filmmakers, of course, make roused even those who managed to get bored.
Particularly impressive a start of the movie with “multiple Harry" and a series of highly energetic scene. Special effects have not yet brought to perfection, but perhaps there will be no radical changes there. The film ends with promise. This is not a culmination, but something that will force all viewers to wait with impatience for the second part.
The movie will be released in 18 November 2010.
“Les aventures extraordinaires da’le Blanc-Sec” by Luc Besson
Luc Besson - the name is already guaranteed quality, a man gifted with many interesting ideas, puting his hearts into all projects. Finally has played with "The Minimoys", Luke returns to the game movie, shooting a wonderful French blockbuster, but at the same time and film-comics based on the stories of Jacques Tardy.
The main heroine of "Les aventures extraordinaires d'a le Blanc-Sec" is cute and brave Adele Blanc-Sec - analogue of Indiana Jones and Lara Croft, she loves mysteries of antiquity and always gets into interesting situations, surrounded by the spirit of adventure and incredible events. Mysticism and mystery, the secrets of antiquity and revived the ancient world - float on the screen spectacular light attraction with a huge share of comedy. Exciting adventures of the heroine now and then accompanied by humorous scenes, fun events and interesting comic turn of events. It's fun and it's exactly what we want to see in such kind of movie.
Visually full details of France last century, with incredible colorful characters, surprising and funny, eerie and charming. The charming main character, of course, attracts the focus.
Louise plays her character a hundred percent, vividly and emotionally, coming from all liability to the case, she looks spectacular in the frame, famously changed appearance, and even manages to straddle a prehistoric reptile.
There is absolutely everything for fun. Interesting story, in which intertwine the revived mummies and hatched pterodactyl, pretty and purposeful with a brave heroine, ready to break between life and death for the sake of his sister, an abundance of humor and comic scenes, beautiful erotic scene in the bathroom, a love story and the amazing extraordinary adventure, linking all the above in a fascinating chain of events that makes you want to continue.
Not enough here 3D, which Luc Besson doesn't like, although almost all of his project on this technology would benefit by becoming an even more spectacular and impressive. In the rest of the particular claims of the film is not there. A masterpiece from the master of directing and staging, the product of his genius entertainment, in which everything was great!
Wonderful music, good graphics, which even if it is felt in places, but it still looks nice and impressive, unlike the much more expensive some of Hollywood's handicrafts.
A lot of action and special effects, the beauty and secrets of antiquity - a movie that wants to watch again and again, expecting more and more new adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec.
Overview of U.S. box office (30.07-01.08)
Utter failure suffered the most expensive of the new recruits of reporting weekend - created for family audience sequel to "Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore". Accompanied by a major advertising support from movie studios Warner Bros. and its marketing partners, the 85 millionth video will managed somehow scrape together enough pitiful revenue of 12.3 million dollars in 5,200 cinemas and 3,705 theaters (3314 dollars per each cinema). This incredibly weak result is simply amazing, especially when you consider that 2,170 schools have shown a film on one or more three dimensional screens with all the consequences in the form of increased public attention and higher prices for tickets.
Never before had a major release in 3D is not collected at the start so little, especially with such a huge number of cinemas and screens. Released in rent to the Independence Day holiday, nine years ago, the original film earned 21.7 million USD for the three-day and 35.8 million for the first five days of release.
Final charges 93.4 million dollars in U.S. box office and more than 200 million dollars in the world have been recognized, of course, a positive result, but the time for a potential sequel was irretrievably lost. In nine years, not much memorable than decent fees, reel of film in 2001 was simply forgotten, no need to continue to commit was not felt, and the bulk of its audience has long been out of the age of the target audience.
Besides, a genre of family films with talking animals rarely gives success in cash terms of sequels, example of what became "Stuart Little 2", "Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed" and "Garfield 2". According to the number of sold tickets "Revenge of Kitty Galore" yielded approximately three times the original films, as unconditional surrender, and before which appeared in last year's "Darwin's Mission", the result is a time served as the main reference point for it. Studio reaction on such an obvious failure was entirely predictable.
"It's very frustrating - said at the outcome of the weekend head of distribution Warner Bros. Dan Fellman. - I was hoping that the result will be even close to the 20 millionth mark".
Representatives of other competing studios, among the possible causes extremely low fees is called a three-dimensional format, as many potential viewers could choose to refrain from costly campaign in the movie on proposed rather second-rate product.
At the same time the Warner Bros. totally rejects such assumptions, arguing that in most cinemas had a choice between conventional and three-dimensional format. According to distributors, the share of three-dimensional screens had 55% of the total fund weekend, 54% of the audience belonged to the male sex, while 46% - younger than 18 years.
The family comedy "Ramona and Beezus" shedding 53% of its revenue debut and finished 11th place with 3.71 million dollars for the weekend. Following ten days of release 15 millionth picture on a series of popular children's books in the U.S. has collected 16.4 million dollars and can conclude with near 25-million mark.
Three films started promisingly enough in limited theaters. The clear leader in this company was a comedy "Get low", starring Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray, who has collected 88,2 thousand dollars in two theaters in New York and two in Los Angeles with a best result of the weekend at an average revenue from the site (22,046 dollars).
The French film "Concert" has been released in one cinema in the same cities, earning 20,1 thousand dollars for a three-day (10 050 with the institution). In a very similar situation comedy has launched the "Extra Man" with John C Reilly, Paul Dano, Kevin Klein and Katie Holmes, in an asset which is 18,9 thousand dollars for the first three days of release (9431 dollar theater).
At next week's clash with the "Inception" and the rest of the rent will come two new releases. Here is a favorite of police comedy "The Other Guys" with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, released in 3400 cinemas. In no small audience can expect as a dance drama "Step Up 3D", which try their hand at a three-dimensional format on the screen of 2,200 cinemas.
“Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore”
Every year on the screens we are welcome to watch a lot of films about animals. Mostly about dogs. They have long been no originality. Everything is done on a stamp and "Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore" has the same problem. It is clearly a parody of movies about the "Bond" and not only. This film is about a spy but instead them there are dogs and cats. They also will perform the same function. Although these films originally made for the audience to 11 inclusive. For small, especially for the little ones, this film is that it is necessary. Here cute doggie and kitty saves the world and so on.
If I didn't like thin movie, I'd say that it's too childish and adults do not like. Kids will be delighted. 3D's bad. At least some things you can watch and without glasses. There are, of course, good moments, but few of them. Parodies of the films here struck me as superfluous. Dialogues are terrible. The story is very incoherent. That's it. The disadvantages are no more.
But therefore, I think this tape is rather positive. You just have to awaken a child. Do not strain. And not even look for a sense or morality. Just relax and enjoy. Do not severely criticize this film. It does not deserve. For now, almost all films of this kind are criticized by audiences and critics undeservingly.
The film is quite simple and something very trivial. From nowhere came a super villain Kitty Galore, and decided to do something very terrible and deal with all mankind. In response to what the eternal enemies of cats and dogs have decided to unite for a common goal, that is to say, the salvation of men.
Of course, there is a logical question: actually, why they had not understood that they have a common goal, would unite the long common efforts, and it would be all good. But OK, the movie still for the children, do not forget it. But at the same time was surprised that in the tape, a very good morality, Why did not exist in the original, and it is this: should not be judged at first glance and the first meeting, you need to understand each other and go forward, that is, to live harmoniously. Here, even virtually no completely negative characters, even the main villain of the beginning of their crimes because of the plight. And the final hint at that she would soon join the newly created alliance.
Despite the fact that "Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore" a debut work a little-known film director Brad Peyton, the film is made solidly. Special effects are at a very high level. I looked in the usual format, and didn't regret it on the big screen looks very spectacular and had a wish to see it in volume. Very pleased that the film is very dynamic, in that respect it is much better than the original, which still places it was a little boring, but here the action without stopping. While unfortunate that it became less a "housekeeping" and all too globally, the atmosphere is not enough. And the actor playing well at zero, although the animal characters are very pleased, like everything.
Soundtracks sometimes good, although cool remixes of songs are annoying.
P.S: The film is surprisingly snug. This is a case where the sequel, if not better than the original, at least on a par with them. Recommended!
“The truth is not what you know. It’s what you believe”
European movies can be a good entertaining and exciting. There is something extraordinary, sensual in European films that Hollywood has, unfortunately, lost in the pursuit of the box office. "Ondine" by Nil Gordan is just such a film, a series of low-budget, but such sincere and emotional, entraining not 3D or high-quality special effects, and the old-fashioned interesting plot and decent acting.
The entire film slides on the brink of a fairy tale and reality, fiction and truth, the fairy tale about a fisherman, fished in the sea a very unusual catch, and the true story of a former alcoholic and a failed father, who is caught up in everyday life and troubles. Which of these two stories is the primary? This question is not answered.
The viewer decides believe it or not, is it true or fiction, fairy tale or a lie. And there's a beautiful girl, sea siren, rescue fisherman from death. Who is she really a mermaid or a runaway? Throughout the movie I made several radical changes in response to this question. And in other matters what's the difference ... If you so want to believe in a fairy tale, believe, as a little girl. All the wonderful and marvelous (c).
The film is very beautiful. Blue-green colors, seascapes, Ireland, the coast - unbelievable. Its such a feeling that you are in the water, all around in the water, you feel the cool drops of water in your face ... well shot movie. The plot is intriguing, too. Very much like a fairy tale beginning. But as the development of more and more realize what's what, and plunged into a reality. Illusion at the beginning - though in the end. The unexpected finale.
Colin Farrell is simply stunning. Yet again, amazed at his talent and charisma. Alicja Bachleda-Tsurush also coped remarkably, although I see her first, but she definitely has talent.
Sound for the film is really magic. Sigur Ros - forever! Unusual film, an unusual story with an unexpected outcome!
P.s. Those who still remain in ignorance, and rack their brains concerning director, I open the map, it is talented person, whose record includes such pictures as "Interview with the Vampire," "Breakfast on Pluto". He also holds an Oscar for his screenplay "The Crying Game", where he was director. In this film, he is also a screenwriter and director, he can show us how city views, and create the right atmosphere going on.
Steam punk about the first robot from JJ Abrams
President Theodore Roosevelt and Lawrence Aravinsky are the heroes of graphic novel "Boilerplate: History's Mechanical Marvel". The rights to its film adaptation acquired studio Paramount, a producer of the film will be JJ Abrams and his company Bad Robot.
"Boilerplate" tells the story of the world's first robot, which in the late XIX - early XX centuries fought along with Theodore Roosevelt and Lawrence Aravinsky, traveled to the South Pole and was fond of silent cinema. Boilerplate disappeared from sight on the battlefields of the First World War.
In the graphic novel the hero is present not only in drawings, but also by old photographs. The "Boilerplate" has been invented by Paul Hainan and his wife Anna Bennett. To promote a comic in 2000, they launched an Internet site devoted to the alleged first robot. Archival photographs attracted the attention of users, and time resources started to live their lives, as many have taken the history of Boilerplate for the truth.
According to legend, the robot was created in 1880 by Professor Archibald Campion and first shown publicly at an exhibition in Chicago 13 years later. The raison of existence the Boilerplate defines itself as "the prevention of human deaths and conflicts between countries". Campion with the robot went through many adventures, traveled around the planet, made films, were friends with Mark Twain and Nicola Tesla.
Boilerplate traveled to Antarctica to save the life of the expedition, and also participated in the Spanish-American War. Disappeared from the radar of historians during the First World War. Supposedly it has been taken by the Germans, therefore they were able to improve their military equipment.
When Abrams Company will begin to develop the project, who will be a screenwriter, and who had to make a film about Boilerplate, will be known a little bit later.
Cartoon teaser “The Goon”
Gourmet zombie trash continues to walk confidently on the cinema, and lately even the demand exceeds supply. Specific film series "Resident Evil" is now well diluted with "La horde" (2009) and "The Crazies" (2010), not to mention films such as "Rec" (2007), "Quarantine" (2008) and so on. Now the rotten sinister ghouls penetrated into animation.
Cartoon "The Goon" is a comic book adaptation of the same name from the office Dark Horse Comics, not rarely publishes stories about all kinds of filthy undead. Brutal comic "Sin City", in which Quentin, Robert and Frank once filmed a great movie - their handiwork. Also, "Dark Horse" tells in pictures of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy and Conan.
In the "Goon" there will be discussed the adventures of a strapping Noddle, consisting in the service of a prominent crime boss. The main duties are to clean up thugs territories from zombies and other supernatural guests.
Fresh teaser is full of humor and comics style pictures. In short, first impression strongly positive.
Futurama
About the series.
So, "Futurama". Equally loved by many TV series, which began to agitate the minds of spectators back in 2001 when the first episode came to light. It was something amazing, like Fry, sneaked in the 3 millionth year will hilarious case, we just fell into this wonderful and sometimes crazy little world. Before our eyes appear something totally unpredictable which spectacle never previously seen, all these retro-futuristic devices, costumes, characters - that's really cool. Remember "The Simpsons" and their typical daily life of ordinary Americans, then it all quite differently this is such a thundering sarcastic mixture of all possible Star Tracks, sci-fi movies and anything with which to associate the future in all its manifestations. This series, which is a satire on our society with you, willingly and ridicules the many expressions of popular culture, sometimes in a veiled form, sometimes in the open.
Just above the yellow family of their TV series, based on the story here are the characters. It would seem, charismatic fat balding loser, truly enjoy life and character did not come up, but Groening jump through their same barriers, showing the world "Futurama" and the local heroes.
The characters.
Phillip J. Fry. Regular guy from the twentieth century, quite frankly, not sparkling or intelligence, but all cover the cost disadvantages of magnificent character optimist, easy going through life. It is simple, sincere, and too naive. He does not care about the problem - because there is the TV, Slurm and a couple of good friends isn't it's a luck?
Bender. Personality itself is already quite well known and self-sufficient, literally - generator damn funny sayings and monologues if you drop deeper - perhaps the worst robot in the world, boozer, spender and a jeeter. This little ridiculous-looking robot was another surprise of the series, gave the world another cult personality - cynical robot egoist with a wonderful sense of humor, which merges with candid
Lila. Woman with warlike character and excellent physique - she seemed to had been born to be a pilot of the ship, managing such childish idiot, Fry, well, or Bender. Perhaps one of the most interesting characters as well - the common sense of the whole team, like Lisa, from the already mentioned many times little family, she tries to help and save, but rarely taken seriously, though ...
Professor Hubert. The collective image of all the stereotypes about scientists. Super Star, which does not prevent him lead a full life, sometimes creating new inventions. So would he be an ordinary character in this series is not normal, if not a couple of character, with which he is famous for. First, his catchphrase - "Good news", he says, even when the news worse. Secondly, the absurdity of conduct, sometimes Hubert issues such gems that can laugh at him for another ten minutes, for example, he likes to undress in not the right time, well, etc.
What? You have not watched this serial? Rapidly run to the monitor, because you cannot miss this animated series, riddled with humor, interesting plots and good characters - it's just silly.
