Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon in one movie
Jeff Nichols' directorial debut, "Shelter", shown at this year's Cannes Film Festival, won the main prize of the Week criticism. The second film of director will be called "Mud" - the name of the protagonist played by Matthew McConaughey. The main actress will play Reese Witherspoon.

Paranoid drama about the end of the world has turned its once director Jeff Nichols filmmaker who no longer have to look for his second film.
The hero of Matthew McConaughey - a dangerous but charismatic bushranger Mud - befriends a 14 year-old Ellis. This role will play Ty Sheridan, who starred in "Tree of Life" Terrence Malick. The boy is going to help Mud to escape from the police and professional bounty hunters. Reese Witherspoon got the role of the main hero soul mate.
Note that Jeff Nichols is not only a director but a writer of the project.
"Jeff has composed a beautiful story with gorgeous characters that gain important life lessons from this situation", - says producer Lisa Maria Falcone of the company Everest Entertainment, which will fully fund the picture.
