Oldschool, or there is no place for aged
R.E.D Plot.
The film tells us that there are no former agents. The main character has been hunted and he gathered a team of trusted friends in order to kick ass to CIA.
God, I can’t say at what time this year I see a similar story. Beginning of the film takes place in a similar with the "Knight and Day", even with the same attributes and similar scenes. The entire film is in general very similar to the "A-Team". Intriguing is not it?
In fact, "RED" can be easily divided into two parts. The first part presents us a dashing action movie with old actors in the lead roles. And everything that happens on the screen is really admirable. But at the second part the movie crawls into a rut of typical actions and at that time lost all the charm and begin frantically to remember, in any time you see it already. However, the end again explodes and you are not disappointed leave the cinema.
Oh, just for the sake of the actors you should see this picture. Let's count: 2 Oscars, 4 Golden Globes, the Golden Lion, 2 palms, the Golden Mask, and even 2 Razzie. And this is without taking into account the nominations in which these people did not win.
John Malkovich - one of the few non-standard actors of our time, thank him for that, such people wouldn’t be forgotten.
Helen Mirren - given that the film was still partly in English, her perfect British pronunciation right through the air.
Morgan Freeman – there is such a feeling that this man is eternal. I hardly counted the number of pictures with his participation, which I looked. Terrific actor with such a strength and energy at that age of 73.
Bruce Willis - the only actor in this film, which was on his territory. Idol of youth, action hero of past and present. By the way, he has gotten golden raspberries for this movie.
Karl Urban - after "Lord of the Rings" this actor has been lost, but "Star Trek" and "RED" returned him in a great movie, and he has coped with her task on 100%.
Misc.
The film is made on the principle of "we kill, blow up and demolish - you laugh". Dare say that this principle works, though in the second half of this picture and turn into the usual serious action. The only downside I would say the absence of violence, again in the second part. This is not my whim, just this comic was very brutal and cruel, so it would nice idea to move this all on the screen.

“Greenberg” review
When you go to the movie - what do you expect to see? Surely what is written in the advertisement, review or anything else that you have read before going to the cinema.
And if it happens that the description does not fully reflect the fact that you have to contemplate? What if you chose to view the film, which is generally quite difficult to describe?
"Greenberg" – is one of such movies.
The protagonist of this film, a middle aged man named Roger played by Ben Stiller - coward, skunk and somewhere an idiot, but nonetheless, a man with his own philosophy of life. Do nothing, to spoil the lives of others, and then revel in their failure to adapt to life and the ugly character, to build their own shortcomings in the cult – thus he looks to people surrounding him.
In the face of his brother housekeeper, he finds an understanding person, someone who is willing to accept him as he is, not trying to change him. Of course, such kind of person like Roger Greenberg is not able to understand immediately what the gift has been presented to him by fate, so during the movie we are watching the situation, full of absurdity and impropriety on the part of both characters.
Also worth noting the manner of the film - it is deliberately slow, the action is viscous, stringy ... but, strangely enough, it does not get on your nerves. Director Baumbach seems want to show that Greenberg is an ordinary person, without claiming on something. In his life nothing much has happened and will never happen. He will not save the world and find astounding beauty girl and will not stand with her in an embrace on a board of the giant ship.
Baumbach has shot not only one more movie, but done something completely new, like nothing on earth. This creation should be joined, only because it has no single counterpart. In addition, Ben Stiller has played perfect, maybe if was not the main character, the film would have been another.
And in the end. Soundtrack. It is just beautiful and fully consistent with the spirit and character of the film. Be sure to listen, you will not regret.
The Big Bang Theory: “What is waiting for Leonard?”
In this season of "The Big Bang Theory" many characters are added romantic or just a close relationship (given the Sheldon and Amy Farrah Fowler). Recently, a hope for something serious came from Leonard and Priya, despite the protests of her older brother Raj (Kunal Neyer). Will Penny (Kaley Cuoco) worry about this? Will she find out the relationship with Leonard? Johnny Gallecki has provided answers to some questions regarding the privacy of his character.
- I like the new couple - Leonard and Priya. What was your first reaction when you learned that waiting for your hero?
I think that this makes sense. She starred in one episode this season, and we really enjoyed working with Artie Mann, she perfectly fit into the team. As for the characters, then Priya is not inferior to the education of Leonardo, and it will be easier in this regard. After all, for Penny and Leonard's relationship it was a problem earlier.
- I can imagine that this is only the beginning, as well as the jealousy of Penny.
I do not know whether you can call it jealousy, but rather limited awareness of her relationship to love. I do not think that she once did not respond Leonard reciprocate because of the lack of feelings, cos Penny was not originally prepared for this emotionally. They are young, they have little in common, and they are like from different universes.
- How will relationship with Priya affect relationships among Leonard and Raj?
I do not know, but at the thought of it makes me laugh. Raj dissatisfied with what is happening. I like how the authors of the series see the relationship of heroes never anything cannot be sure. As soon as Raj begins to understand that between Priya and Leonard everything is seriously and not just flirting, he will eventually calm down.
- Do you ever look back and thought over on how Leonard has changed over the four seasons?
Certainly, and the series itself has also changed. I'm always interested to review a pilot series of the show, because it is immediately seen as heroes and authors are not sure what will happen next. Of course, the characters develop slowly, two steps forward, three back, but still the moment when Leonard has been broken, was decisive for him. Now he takes Sheldon with his eccentricities much easier, because he experienced something worse. His maturation is slow, but still happening.
- Could you say that Leonard adapted to life better than other guys?
I think it depends on the problem they are trying to solve. People tell me about this, but I still think he copes not well with many things.
- As a permanent spectator of "The Big Bang Theory" which pair you are impressed the most?
I like Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Roych), their relationship is very sweet and touching.
- Once, Chuck Lorre said that he hopes to return to the show Christine Baranski as Leonard mom in the spring. Do you know anything about this?
No, although it would be perfect. I always like to work with her, as well as with Laurie Metcalf (mom Sheldon). I would like to see them meet on the screen, maybe even in a series on Thanksgiving, when moms come to visit their sons. That would be incredible.
- How do you think, is there a chance that Leonard and Penny come together again at the end of the season? Or it is too early to talk about this?
I do not know whether this will happen by the end of the season, but I believe they were made for each other. And if Leonard had a chance to show all the possibilities of love Penny, she would have no doubt in their feelings, but, unfortunately, he doesn’t decide anything in this situation. Penny herself must make the first step.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia review
Five years ago Rob MacElhenni with Charlie Day and Glenn Houerton spent a whole two hundred dollars, most of which went to the tapes to the camcorder to film a pilot episode. After that, friends started to send it through various channels. FX liked the idea, the channel asked to reshoot the pilot with more than decent budget, moving the action from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. Then, few could have predicted that over the next years series will find a dedicated group of fans, will be one of the most popular channel programs, would create five seasons and not think, rest on its laurels.
Mac (MacElhenni), Dennis (Houerton) and Charlie (Day) - co-owners of an Irish pub in bad quarter in Philadelphia. Deandra (Caitlin Olsen), sister of Dennis also works in a bar. Unlike other similar places these people do not put the main task of making a profit.
Frankly, they have any sort of goals at all. They have opened a pub only in order to make it easier to pick up girls. Everyone of them has his own giant cockroaches in head: Dennis - handsome with an unimaginable scale conceit; Mac - chief and ringleader with parents, to whom it is better not approach within gunshot; Charlie - absolutely crazy dude, who does all the dirty work that others call "the work of Charlie." With the second season the quartet joined Danny DeVito as Frank, nonbiological father of Dennis and Deandra who loves to boast that he had been in Vietnam, but forgot to add that there he was in the nineties, trying to earn at a garment factory.
The early years the series lived contrary to the predictions of imminent death. The budget of the first season was miserable four hundred thousand, and after all, and pumped up the ratings, the channel was considering closing. But the authors were able to pull in their offspring DeVito, who agreed to be filmed, but because his children are fans of the series. And, perhaps, namely from the second season the project has found its face.
Technically, the series is unlikely to offer something, but the actors’ works are command respect. Often it may seem that the show is based on improvisation, though there is just the opposite. Actors are so fused with their roles, now they are very difficult to present in other roles.
To date, we have five seasons. Judging by the ratings, FX, is unlikely to be decided on the closure, because "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" - one of those rare cases where with each subsequent episode the series continues to gain momentum.
USA box office for past weekend
Brought American audiences three fairly big premieres of the weekend, the President Day was able to formally terminate the prolonged 14 weeks downturn in the American Cinemas, but this result was made possible only by what has happened over the last year of the calendar shift. Compared with similar holiday weekend a year ago, total revenue decreased by 28%, and the result of the winner came out the worst this weekend for the past six years. Jointly three newcomers have earned only 67.2 million dollars, whereas a year ago, also three new releases, led by the Valentine's Day have earned more than twice as large an amount of 137.4 million dollars.
In a highly competitive when once housed five films with a relatively short interval from each other, celebrating the victory somewhat surprising thriller "Unknown" with Liam Neeson in the starring role.
The success of the 30 millionth project was crucial to surviving tough times Dark Castle Studio famous producer Joel Silver.
On the second line-up to the big weekend rose a former third week ago perky cartoon. Animation film "Gnomeo and Juliet" led film distribution chart on Sunday and completely dominated on Monday, collecting 19.2 million dollars in the fall of 24,5% over the three days and 25.4 million dollars for four. Until the final victory of the sum of four days of garden and house gnomes did not have some 38 thousand dollars. It was the smallest gap between the first two places in the Cinemas of the weekend 7-9 August 2000.
Regarded as a relatively clear favorite fiction thriller by Dee Jay Caruso "I Am Number Four" made considerably weaker than expectations, calling into question the apparent plans for a huge film studio for a new popular franchise. Made on 60-million budget for the costs of solid advertising campaign filming eponymous bestseller collected only 19.4 million dollars in 3154 theaters for a three-day weekend and 22.8 million in four days. Before the premiere almost all forecasts fees higher then 30-million mark.
"I am number four" was the first release of DreamWorks through a brand owned by Disney Touchstone Pictures. Providing for distribution of 30 films the studio five-year deal was struck in February 2009.
A romantic comedy with Adam Sandler "Just Go with It" has lost 39% of its revenue debut, collecting 18.5 million dollars for three days and 21.6 million for four.
USA box office for past weekend
Only the fifth place with 16.3 million dollars in 2821 cinemas for three days and 18.7 million over four days has earned comedy "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" with Martin Lawrence in the title role. Can’t say that the film industry expectations here were high, but disbursed proceeds received far less than the results of the two previous films (25.7 million in 2,854 theaters in 2000 and 27.7 million in the 3261 movie theater in 2006), even without corrections for the inevitable, over the years inflation.
To everyone's surprise, the anticipated huge crash escaped concert film of Justin Bieber, who was sixth with 13.3 million dollars for three days and 16.4 million for four. Of course, falling to 54.9% at first glance does not look very good result, but two other youth-oriented similar projects became the victims of much large landslides. Thus, the "Hannah Montana" on the second weekend has lost 66,9% of its revenue debut, and "Concert of Jonas Brothers" has concluded it with a huge drop in 77.4%.
Clearly inspired by the current course of events studio Paramount Pictures on Monday announced its decision to go to a very unusual move. Starting from the third week rolled in theaters in addition to the usual appear and extended director's cut, which includes more than 40 minutes of additional material.
Persistent historical drama "The King’s speech" has earned 6.53 million dollars with a minimum fall by 9,7% in three days and 8.06 million for four. Hundred million plank was taken on Saturday, a 86-day release, just as in the asset's favorite Oscar race up to the big weekend, 104.8 million dollars disbursed cash.
Having serious competitors, thriller "The Roommate" on the third weekend collapsed by 52% and became the eighth with 3.91 million dollars for three days and 4.47 million for four. Total cash in 33.1 million dollars, with 16-million budget clearly indicates that the problem with the payback pattern is actually solved.
Historical action "Eagle of the Ninth" has lost 58% of its revenue debut. Painting became the ninth with 3.65 million dollars for a three-day and 4.34 million for a four-day weekend.
Successful in all respects, the romantic comedy "No strings attached" has earned 3,080,000 dollars for three days and 3.58 million for four, becoming the tenth in the chart of the weekend. In total asset the movie has 66,500,000 dollars after five weeks of release.
Total cash of top ten movies was 150.7 million dollars, which is 29% less than in a weekend day of the President Day a year ago and 14% less than two years ago.
Chris Columbus will remake an Asian movie
Director of two first Harry Potter films will have some work jointly with the Korean company Next Entertainment World, which will finance and roll his next project. Chris Columbus is going to shoot a remake of the family comedy "Hello, ghost".
As it turned out, Columbus - a big fan of Asian cinema, so enthusiastically took up the statement of the English-language version of the film, which became the box-office hit at home in Korea.
"I’ve watched "Hello, ghost" and was instantly smitten with his ability to mix comedy, drama and complex emotional themes - says Columbus. - Its universal theme will be understood throughout the world, so I'll do with a great pleasure transferring of this remarkable story for the English-speaking audience".
The protagonist, a young man trying to commit suicide. After a failed attempt four ghosts came to him and won’t leave him until he helps each of them to fulfill one wish.
The representative of Next Entertainment World says the company gladly accepted the offer of Columbus to remake their project as director is a real guru of family comedies.
The latest film adaptation of Chris Columbus was a fantasy "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief". Before that, he has filmed failed movie "I love you, Beth Cooper".
Two and a Half Men is not closed
Series Two and a Half Men is on temporary hiatus (as in the show, and in the survey) and is not closed. However, CBS has canceled the filming before the end of this season. In the season will be 16 episodes, on 8 episodes less than planned.
At first, CBS had planned to return the actor to work in late February, and shot 4 more episodes. However, in this svelte plan CBS did not consider the human factor. Charlie Sheen, who ostensibly should be in rehab, has repeatedly made statements offending CBS and in particular, Chuck Lorre, creator of the series, because they "not allow" Charlie to shoot. The situation reached its climax yesterday - Charlie Sheen has issued several anti-semitic comments in the direction of Chuck Lorre, adding that the popularity of the show is a fully merit of the actor, but not the writers. This clearly irrational behavior of the actor, who allegedly cannot forgive Chuck Lorre the loss of 4 episodes (and quite a large sum of money that could earn Charlie), casts doubt on the ability of the actor to back on the stage. CBS responded quickly and canceled the filming of the remaining episodes of the season.
And once again, Two and a Half Men is not closed. Most likely, even if Charlie Sheen will not be able to get in shape, the channel will try to find a replacement for him – this TV series brings the channel and the studio too much money, to be canceled at all.
Gnomeo and Juliet review
Watching a lot of animated cartoons by studio Pixar, viewers accustomed to the fact that they are designed for the widest audience, i.e. such cartoons will be funny for children and their parents. Yes, and what must be confessed, often adults themselves without kids go to watch the cartoons, and rejoice humor and warm, cozy atmosphere of something good and bright.
But here released cartoon "Gnomeo and Juliet" and takes us back to earth - it is just that type of cartoon that will be much more interesting for children and almost unbearable for adults.
This story unfolds in a beautiful garden with conflict between two companies of gnomes - blue and red. Son of the blue gnome’s leader Gnomeo falls in love with the daughter of the head of the red one - Juliet. From this and starts its development rather peculiar interpretation of the famous play by William Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet.
Though of course, fans of the original version may even be glad that the greatest love story in this cartoon has ended as it should be in all positive tales.
Despite the seriousness of Shakespeare's source, some very dramatic events in the cartoon we will not be shown here in general, all is bright and positive. A large part of the plot has extremely weak and only "baby" jokes.
Apart from a couple of interesting jokes here and mention something almost nothing: video sequence comparison with the same works of Pixar does not hold, for some memorable and spectacular scenes here (except, perhaps, a brawl with the lawn mower) are absent, but a very touching music by Elton John (by the way, one more small positive moment) is not able to save the situation.
Such cartoons have not been released for a long time and perhaps we simply lost the habit of such "pure child" of animation projects, but still today there are far more interesting representatives of the genre, and therefore criticism of "Gnomeo and Juliet" is well-founded
The main conclusion from the facts above can be the following: those who’ll get while watching to switch on his inner child, then they will enjoy a cartoon. Other people are better to avoid this cartoon.
