I hope that we have created a cartoon for all. It is, of course, there are only children's themes, such as love changes people, there are many children's humor, a lot of gigs - responsible for them funny little minions. But at the same time, the theme of family, foster children, what it is all to be a parent, is very close to ourselves, the people who made the film and who have their families. So it is for children and adults. Anyway, I hope viewers of all ages will like this cartoon.
- You said that Gru was originally conceived as a villain-hero. But if you dig deep enough, it turns out that he is like a big child who hasn't played enough, and who generally grew up not very happy...
Yes, Gru - a character who grew up not knowing what love is. He has a strict mother, who, though, and wanted better for him, but never expressed any feelings or approval. So as he grows older, the scope of his accomplishments, but deep inside he wants his mother praised him.

For this we should thank to our directors Pierre Couffo and Chris Renaud, who worked with amazingly talented designer, Eric Jonah. And the way the film looks almost completely is his individual style, which just felt the impact and Futurism, and at the same time, tender love for retro details. Before, I have never worked with a picture in which the design would be an independent work of art. We all looked at the work of Eric and said: "You just do this picture does not change anything." And here was just then problem in not to finalize anything, but keep the original Jonah ideas at numerous stages of production, which make the film visually unique. Being a child I dreamed of becoming an astronaut in the future, I think that many people dreamed about it, and when I saw the "Titan: A. E." I was in seventh heaven, by the fact that before this I did not see cartoons about space and space ships.
"Titan: A.E." - hand-drawn animation and computer graphics in some places, with the ideal complement each other. I liked colors, can be seen that the artists were trying not to repeat. The plot also not let us down, not annoying and you look at one breath.
In the distant future of humanity, deprived of the Earth, forced to settle on the outskirts of the universe and to endure the harassment from other intelligent races. The only thing that can save our descendants from the gradual extinction - "Titan", the space Noah's Ark, able to create re-create the Earth and all its inhabitants. The catch is that nobody knows the exact location of "Titan". No one, except Kayl, who has a map, and a whole pack of enemies trying to get to the Titan before earthlings.
"Titan" - a dynamic, well-cut story, charming characters and excellent musical accompaniment. And, of course, beautiful animation - and now, and many years later, the picture will become just as lively and colorful, for the classic is not affected by time. Of course, there is a positive protagonist, a little naive, but the bold and adventurous, there are villains, and no one (in fact on the Ark of the pair), but this cartoon, unlike many of its brethren, is not straightforward, and the spiral of intrigue, twisted in several exciting turns.
In this story a little of everything: love, universal values, the craving for adventure and noble deeds, loyalty and sacrifice. And in a sense, "Titan" - the eternal theme of the confrontation of children and fathers, where the role of the latter was not malicious Dredge, and Corso and above all they represent a real threat to Kayl and his team.
There is no popular now parodied moments, no stupid fun and farcical ease, concomitant modern Hollywood media animation. But there is an interesting story about the death of mankind and the search of the lost spaceship, which can save people there are living heroes, there are lyrical episodes, and finally there is a beautiful painted picture. Few days ago I've watched new cartoon titled "Despicable Me". My thought is not bad! But let us see what thing journalists from Associated Press.

It is interesting to follow the clumsy villain named Gro and marvel at the exquisitely cruel sense of humor.
