Stars of the movie "The King’s speech" took home the top prize of the evening - for best ensemble cast. The best actor is Colin Firth, and Best Actress - Natalie Portman. Award for supporting actor departed actors from "Fighter" Christian Bale and Melissa Leo.

For Bail the award SAG was actually a gift for his birthday - yesterday, the actor celebrated 37 years old. Taking the statuette, Christian from the scene thanked Dicky Eklund, Mickey's brother, a boxer Eklund, whom he played in the film. "There he sits - said the actor. - Thank you for letting me play you".

Backstage Bale went to Geoffrey Rush, who by then had already received his prize in the ensemble cast, "The King’s speech" and asked him what he was going to do with the statuette: "It is well, hard!" At that Rush suggested that there are no other ways and he had to carry it with him. Bronze statuette of the actor with two masks doesn’t really light: it weighs 5.5 pounds, which is 2 pounds more than an Oscar.

Pregnant Natalie Portman didn’t carry a hefty prize. The speech of actresses was not so emotional as on the "Golden Globe", but Portman has dedicated the award to parents: "They taught me flat out at work to one hundred percent and never do not bounce".

Melissa Leo, she won SAG Awards for Best Actress and is not shy in terms: "Why do a lot of people like "Fighter"? Because it is amazing movie!"

Winner of SAG for best actor Colin Firth as a true gentleman chose the more accurate expression. The actor began his thank-you speech with memories of how he received the certificate of an actor's guild. Colin used it to impress women, and take place in nightclubs. "Thanks to the guards, letting me in!"
Christopher Nolan's film "Inception" was awarded the prize for the best work of stuntmen.

Analysts believe that the SAG award for best ensemble cast - a sure sign that the picture will get the main Oscars.

Academy Award winners will be announced on February 27.

Directors Guild of America awarded its prize in the 63rd time. Winner of the 2010 year was an Englishman Tom Hooper, who shot the tape "The King’s speech".

For Hooper this is not the first nomination for award directing guilds. He was nominated last year for his work on the miniseries "John Adams", but lost to Jay Roach, making a movie "Recount".

Subject of English monarchs Tom Hooper have already touched on in the mini-series "Elizabeth I", where the main role played by Helen Mirren.

Last week, "The King’s speech" won the guild's production, thus changing the conditions of the struggle for an Oscar. Whereas previously an absolute favorite was considered a "Social network", but now even its director's low chances of getting a coveted statuette.

DGA award prizes for achievements not only in the movies, but also on television. This year in the category "Best Actor in a Drama Series" will be the work of Martin Scorsese on the production of the first episode of the "Boardwalk empire". Michael Spiller was the winner in the Best Director of a Comedy Series for his work on "Modern family".

The best director of a documentary film named Charles Ferguson, who shot "Inside job".

Winners of Golden Globe award

In the United States has held 68 awards ceremony of Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The best dramatic film called "Social Network", best comedy - "Kids are all right."
Hollywood Foreign Press Association Award from year to year has been criticized. HFPA often appears in the center of scandals involving bribery, graft, and accused of too close relations with the studios. So, last week, a former publicist HFPA sued former employer for accepting expensive gifts from studios in exchange for the nomination.
We can say that the ratio of actors to the premium expressed Christian Bale, taking the award for best supporting actor in a drama "Fighter". "Never had no idea who these people - said the actor from the scene. - I always sit at the press junket, look at the journalists and think: who are these strange types? They often argue among themselves, not realizing that I had already come. But now I know who you are, and suddenly realized how they are really smart, bright and insightful people. What kind of shots!"
The ceremony has been leaded by English comedian Ricky Gervais.
Taking a Golden Globe for best screenplay, Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the "Social network", thanked Sony boss Amy Pascal and Michael Lynton: "They believe that the spectators who come to the cinema, at least as intelligent as those of his shoots. Sorkin named best producer Scott Rudin and of course, mention David Fincher: "He shoots, how the person prints, or how people discuss printed, but it looks like a bank robbery!"
Moving speech has given a pregnant Natalie Portman, who has gotten her second, "Globe" (HFPA previously appreciated her work in the drama of "Closer"). First, Natalie thanked his parents and then turned to the groom, the choreographer of "Black Swan" Benjamin Millpedu. "Thank you, Benjamin, for something that helps me to continue to create life". Benjamin was the choreographer for the movie. But you may remember him as a dancer, who has been asked if he slept with me, and he said: "Ugh, no. So, he's a great actor because he had lied: he just sleeps with me!"
Colin Firth was nominated for the "Globe" for the second consecutive year. The actor, who last fall was 50 years, said he is now at an age where hard to preserve the dignity and common sense. "This award - all that separates me from the motorcycle Harley Davidson", - joked Firth.

Golden Globe 2011: Highlights

As you all know, few days ago in Los Angeles was 68 Golden Globe ceremony. The emcee of the show, like last year, was a comedian Ricky Gervais.

The lack of in-jokes was not observed. "Today we will walk and frees...or as Charlie Sheen calls it: breakfast," - began emcee, remembering also another recent scandal.

Most of all, it seems, has gotten the film "Tourist" and its stars Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. "For 3D-movies, it was a great year. Toy Story, Despicable me, Tron ... it’s such a feeling that everything was big, but not the characters of Tourist. I must confess that I have not seen this movie ... and who has seen? But once he is nominated, it must be good, so shut up!"- says Gervais public.

There was also a standard joke about the bribes, but here's leading last year's repeated itself, only in a slightly different situation. And it is nothing new presented annoying joke about Americanization of The Office.

Fully received and actresses from "Sex and the City 2". "I am confident that the Golden Globe for Best Special Effects went to a team that retouched poster for this film" - says the presenter. "Ladies, we know how old you are, I saw one of you back in Bonanza (popular show 60-ies)".
"I think last year I did not go too far"
- said Gervais after the ceremony. "This year, everything was as it should. If someone has found himself offended, then I do not care. "

The major surprise among the television nominations can rightly be considered a victory of Carlos in the category of "the best miniseries or TV movie". Painting modest Sundance Channel has surpassed such heavyweights as HBO The Pacific, Temple Grandin and You Don't Know Jack, which have well-known producers and actors.

The victor of the ceremony has become a comedy Glee, taking away three statuettes, including for Best Musical or Comedy "(second year). 30 Rock, winning at least one of the Globe over the past four years, this time left with nothing. By the way, both winners of the past Emmy "American Family" and "Mad Men" have got nothing.

"Thank you God for made me an atheist" - finished Gervais his show.
