In the black-black town on a black-black street in a black-black from a heaps of dust bookstore called "Black Books" there lived a black-black (due to lack of habit to watch his appearance) man, with the name Bernard Black. Living in such conditions, the man simply could not master a perfect pitch-black humor.
Disorder in the store rooms has never greatly bothered by Bernard Black, because he has always had a bottle with some hard liquor and cigarettes, and smoking, he literally on the spot, which also was not in working. All was serene until it's time to file tax returns and accountant with a dubious reputation, whose services previously enjoyed Black, because of problems with the law go on the run.
Trying to fill in the declaration itself, Bernard Black quickly realized that he had to put it mildly, not in the subject, and began to look different, including hazardous, how to avoid the need to fill the hated bills. So fate brought him an accountant reluctant Manny, who, in turn, also running away, but not from filing a tax return, but from the hated work and all other things that he was connected to. In the end, Manny has found silence from the madding crowd in a cozy Black shop. Thus he became an assistant, ready to tackle virtually any job. To dilute male company is going Bernard friend Fran with whole he likes to drink and smoke all day round.
The main role in the sitcom played Dylan Moran (Bernard Black), Bill Bailey (Manny) and Tamsin Greg (Fran), all 18 episodes of the comedy series, you'll not get bored even for a moment - you will laugh, laugh and once again laugh at all: over the dialogue, monologues, over on the main characters, over their body language, on how they solve different problems of everyday life, on how to build a business process in the Black shop. It is also worth noting that the director of this extravaganza is Laynhen Graham, well known by his works like TV series "The IT Crowd", "Hot Fuzz" and "Shaun of the Dead".
