New Super Bowl records and Glee

Super Bowl XLV has set a new record in the history of American television. 45-th in a row NFL championship final assembled 111 million viewers, which is 4.5 million better than last year's Super Bowl. Final of the series M * A * S * H, which has been holding onto the first place from 1983 to 2010, now dropped to third place.

At least, 162.9 million viewers (in the last year the figure was 153.4 million) have seen the match. Pre-game show that started at 2 pm and went before the game, collected an average of 22 million viewers. At the awarding ceremony there are about 66 million viewers, about 14% worse than last year's result.

Immediately after the broadcast of the match, as you know, went out the next series of Glee, which brought 26.8 million viewers, ranking in the category of 18-49. Mini-contest with The Office, which came after the game in 2009, Glee has won, but in 2008 House MD has shown better rating.
