“Fringe” final episode “Over there, part 2″
"Fringe" final episode, actor's thoughts
That's the season finale. Perhaps he was not so very stunning, as was mentioned in more than one interview with the actors of the series, but nonetheless, this episode was unforgettable. We not only received many answers, but the great questions (one for sure) in the future.
Let's start with the end. Most of all I felt that "our" Olivia has died. And how glad I was when I realized she is alive. And that goes to the substitution, and then personally I immediately made it clear as soon as Liv resuscitate Bell. Although, I do not think that the creators of the series was an obvious desire to end the series to hide the substitution. What next? Alternative Olivia (the authors call her Bolivia) now resembles one of the Zombie-Soldiers, which have also intruded into our universe and received instruction using the typewriter.
Even with the last episode, we all had suspicions that the Minister did not just back home, Peter. And our fears were not unfounded. After all, Peter is the very essential part for the huge machine designed to destroy "our" world - a source of energy required to run it.
And it's good that he realized that a world where it raised, is in danger and went over to the friends. Although, I think, and everything was pretty predictable.
Peter and Olivia. As we have seen and assumed another factor in the return of Peter to "our" universe has begun his feelings to Olivia. In this episode the first time they kissed, and actually confessed to each other in love. And this is what overshadows all the reality, that Liv that he lived was locked in an alternate universe. Their relationship ended before it started. I think Peter was the first who noticed Olivia stand-in. Well, at least, I want it to be this way.
As for me, so I was waiting for a meeting at least some of the hero with the alternative itself. And I saw what I wished! The fight of two Olivia was inimitable. However, apart from the scene of their confrontation I really liked the scene of their conversation about mother, Rachel and Elle. As we saw, in the alternate universe Olivia's mother is alive, but Rachel died in childbirth.
Despite the difference in the two universes, the lives of both Olivia are similar: in "our" universe she has no personal life, her mother died, but she has a sister and niece in which she doted; with the alternative universe, Olivia has a man, her mother is alive, but she hasn't sister and niece. Each of these two women in their miserable, each of them is deprived of something important in life. Therefore, I am frankly sorry that they could not get along with each other and understand that they have more in common with each other than differences.
We finally became more aware of the friendship history between Bishop and Bell. At first they met in an alternate universe was immediately noticeable tension in their relationship. And from Walter, we all saw the hatred to the friend. But why has Walter so hated Bell all these years? Because he cut the part of the Walter brain tissue, and now Walter deprived of memories about his wife, his son and about the past. But. Walter also didn't remember that Bell did so, because Walter has asked him about this favor. We've already seen what could be Walter, if he did not have missing parts of the brain... Walter felt that he turns into something terrible, and asked Bell for a favor. Apparently, the history of this conflict has been exhausted. But there is another - the creation of Massive Dynamic, which provides technology to "our" universe the parallel one. Walter accuses Bell that he was enriched at the expense of other universe resources.
Also, we finally discovered Zombie - Soldiers are the handiwork of Bell. And we learned what happened to the alternate Bell - in his youth he has died in a car accident. Thus, alternative Walter and William will have never met each other.
Well, finally, we have gotten answer to our main question - whether Peter will be able to forgive Walter? Yes, Peter cannot look at the correctness of the incident from his father, but he understands the significance of his actions, which he undertook to save Peter life.
Well, this episode was really great! We learned a lot and puzzled even more. A little hurt from the fact that William Bell will no longer appear in the series. I think that his line could reveal even better. But I think the history of the relationship between him and Walter, we would get to know to the end.
The long-awaited romantic line in the series didn't delight us long, I think the full disclosure, we will see any time soon.
P.s. For fans of Sci-Fi genre, there are good news ... FOX extends series Fringe for a third season. Despite the fact that statistically the Fringe is only 50th among the key audience of 18-49 years, with an average audience of the series is 7.6 million people, the FOX bosses decided that in a highly competitive market on Thursdays Fringe dignified.
In the third season the writers promise to fans of the series more Leonard Nimo (Dr. William Bell) and, of course, more parallel universe.
