MTV has renewed for second season its new comedy Awkward. The series has started on July 19 and then collected 1.7 million viewers. The latest episode has 1.9 million visitors, rating in the category of 12-34 was also the highest - 2.0.
"What I love about the show, so this is what it is primarily a comedy, but it is not afraid be sincere and emotional"- says the head of MTV show David Jenollari. 12 new episodes will be released next summer.
Another serial of the channel, The Hard Times Of RJ Berger, was less fortunate. Comedy series closed down after two seasons. The premiere of the second season attracted a record 3.1 million for itself, thanks largely to the timeslot, after the reality hit Jersey Shore. However, May episodes collected less than 1 million viewers.
In August the channel has scheduled the series premiere of Death Valley (29 August) and show the pilot episode I Just Want My Pants Back (August 28, a full launch in 2012). In the autumn will start animation comedy Beavis and Butt-head and Good Vibes (October 27).
