Every year on the screens we are welcome to watch a lot of films about animals. Mostly about dogs. They have long been no originality. Everything is done on a stamp and "Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore" has the same problem. It is clearly a parody of movies about the "Bond" and not only. This film is about a spy but instead them there are dogs and cats. They also will perform the same function. Although these films originally made for the audience to 11 inclusive. For small, especially for the little ones, this film is that it is necessary. Here cute doggie and kitty saves the world and so on.
If I didn't like thin movie, I'd say that it's too childish and adults do not like. Kids will be delighted. 3D's bad. At least some things you can watch and without glasses. There are, of course, good moments, but few of them. Parodies of the films here struck me as superfluous. Dialogues are terrible. The story is very incoherent. That's it. The disadvantages are no more.
But therefore, I think this tape is rather positive. You just have to awaken a child. Do not strain. And not even look for a sense or morality. Just relax and enjoy. Do not severely criticize this film. It does not deserve. For now, almost all films of this kind are criticized by audiences and critics undeservingly.
The film is quite simple and something very trivial. From nowhere came a super villain Kitty Galore, and decided to do something very terrible and deal with all mankind. In response to what the eternal enemies of cats and dogs have decided to unite for a common goal, that is to say, the salvation of men.
Of course, there is a logical question: actually, why they had not understood that they have a common goal, would unite the long common efforts, and it would be all good. But OK, the movie still for the children, do not forget it. But at the same time was surprised that in the tape, a very good morality, Why did not exist in the original, and it is this: should not be judged at first glance and the first meeting, you need to understand each other and go forward, that is, to live harmoniously. Here, even virtually no completely negative characters, even the main villain of the beginning of their crimes because of the plight. And the final hint at that she would soon join the newly created alliance.
Despite the fact that "Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore" a debut work a little-known film director Brad Peyton, the film is made solidly. Special effects are at a very high level. I looked in the usual format, and didn't regret it on the big screen looks very spectacular and had a wish to see it in volume. Very pleased that the film is very dynamic, in that respect it is much better than the original, which still places it was a little boring, but here the action without stopping. While unfortunate that it became less a "housekeeping" and all too globally, the atmosphere is not enough. And the actor playing well at zero, although the animal characters are very pleased, like everything.
Soundtracks sometimes good, although cool remixes of songs are annoying.
P.S: The film is surprisingly snug. This is a case where the sequel, if not better than the original, at least on a par with them. Recommended!
The last time a new "Crow" recalled at the beginning of summer, when the producer of the project, Edward Pressman said that director Stephen Norrington finished writing the script. The result of the producer described as "excellent". The authors have changed the design, promised a realistic approach and location in Arizona, Mexico and Detroit.
Looks like the splendor in the script Norrington was not enough. This week, Pressman told journalists of The Wrap, that he has attracted Nick Cave to the cooperation. A musician will have to rewrite the script. The Pressman choice certainly deserves respect: Cave linked not only with the band The Bad Seeds, but also with the literature. Recently, it was published his second novel "The Death of Bunny Munro". At first the book was conceived as a screenplay for John Hillcoat. Cave worked with him on the "The Proposition", and over the tape "Ghosts of the civil death" which became a musician's debut on the scenario field.
Last year it became known that Cave has adapted the novel "The Wettest County in the World" for Hillcoat. To the main role it's planned to take Shia LaBeouf, but something went wrong, and the project stalled. Now he is more alive than dead, but so far is at a very early stage of development.
Russell Crowe turned to Nick Cave with a request to write the script for "Gladiator," which ended a 20-minute battle scene in Vietnam, and then transferred to a toilet of Pentagon. But the concept of the hero Crowe as the eternal warrior did not get the studio because of inability to finance the project.
In coming weeks we can expect from the producers the name of the artist role of Eric Draven.
Recently to shot an excellent comedy is not something that is extremely difficult, but the task is clearly not an easy one. Genre is how easy it is so hard and come up with something new that could have made the audience laugh throughout the film. Even harder in today's stream of movies to find something
that would not only bring a smile, but also raise any interesting issues of life. And the creators of "Date Night" wanted to create exact such film. You know what? If they hadn't Steve Carell and Tina Fey, I bet anything they would not work.
At the beginning of the movie we see successful married couple with two children, but immersed in the routine of everyday life. Fosters (Carell and Fey) work, raising children and, once a week, like many couples in America, go to the so-called "Date Night" - evening for meetings, in order to diversify their life.
But one day after learning that their friends are getting divorced because they could not longer tolerate the daily dullness in their relations, the main characters decide to add some fun to "date night" and go to the most expensive restaurant in Manhattan ... Then come two buck, putting to their heads and trunks require that they had stolen from their boss. You expect me to say that from this moment and start all the fun? So it is true, but fun just rises more and more.
Two of the most popular comedian of the American TV could not, once, in one project does not show itself in all their glory. Steve Carell and Tina Fey is burning in every frame, their dialogues - is a treasure chest of jokes of the highest quality, humor, knockdowns. In all of this, while watching the credits appear, that most of jokes - improvisation by the actors. All the main jokes - is a merit of the two main actors. Supporting the same role, which did not sit past actors, laugh more images than dialogue.
"Date Night" - a film for young and old, would that not lead the children there, a couple of scenes, and the replica need to put them in an archive as a joking matter, but urgent, and that it is not rejected. Comedy is a popular genre and it will always go therefore, such films will be produced like a flow, especially in the factory of dreams, without worrying about the quality of the final product. Drown in this sea of dirty jokes very easily, and so glad that we sometimes give excellent examples of how to make genre films, not to be ashamed in front of the audience.
The film by Julie Taymor "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare closes 67th International Venice Film Festival, which will be held from 1 to 11 September. Also it is became known a complete jury stuff, which this year is headed by Quentin Tarantino.

The film also starred Alfred Molina, Russell Brand, Alan Cumming, David Strathairn and Chris Cooper. Changing the sex of the hero director explains:
"I wanted to do it, because there are actresses like Helen Mirren, who never play such great role, because they are written for men. So we changed the role. This did not spoil the play, but added more depth to it".
For Julie Taymor's "The Tempest" was the second address to the creation of the Great Bard. Former director from Broadway, Taymor made her debut in film drama "Titus" with Anthony Hopkins. It is interesting that the director already had a relationship to the production of the Tempest, but in a theater in 1986. This is the second appearance of Julie Taymor on the island of Lido. In the 2002 film "Frida" participated in the contest of the festival. The release of "The Tempest" in the United States will be in December, the distributor of label became Touchstone Studios Disney.

Director and screenwriter Gabriele Salvatores is well-known outside of his native Italy. In 1991 his drama "Mediterraneo" won an Oscar for best foreign film. This year, critics praised his new film "Happy Family".

The history of one of the most famous literary editor will receive film version. Max Perkins worked with Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Wolfe, and now he can be played by one of the best actors of our time, Sean Penn. The director of the film "Genius" will William Polad.
After working as a journalist for the newspaper New York Times, Maxwell Perkins in 1910 was appointed editor in a respectable publishing house Charles Scribner's Sons. Publishing has made a name for publication respectable writers like Henry James, John Galsworthy, and Edith Wharton. But despite the respect for existing customers, Perkins wanted to publish beginner writers.
Unlike the rest of their colleagues, Max Perkins is actively searching for promising young authors. The search failed in 1919, when the editor has signed a contract with Scott Fitzgerald. The work of 22-year-old author did not like the heads of publishing houses, but this did not stop Perkins, who lobbied for his charge to victory. All copies of the novel "The Other Side of Paradise" sold for the first three days of sales.
In 1926, Perkins has published the first novel by Ernest Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises". In those days it was a very brave book, for which the editor also had to fight with the leadership of the publishing house.
Hollywood has long been interested in the history of Max Perkins life. Some time ago the movie was going to shoot Lawrence Kezdan, but the project did not experience problems with financing.
Now the project is attributed to Sean Penn and director William Polad, who never took anything from 1990. His first and last film had been on the drama "The old scholars. After that Polad went into producing. Among his film project with Sean Penn's "Fair Game" and "Tree of Life", as well as his directorial opus "Into the Wild".
The basis of the script by John Logan's biography "Max Perkins: Editor of geniuses," written by Scott Berg. The book won National Book Award. The film will focus on the relationship with the young Perkins, Thomas Wolfe. Working with him was a daunting task editor. While many writers have suffered from a creative crisis, Wolfe freely splashed tens of thousands of words on paper. With great difficulty, Perkins managed to persuade the writer to reduce his debut novel, "Look at your house, angel" 90 000 words. The next Wolfe novel was the result of a two-year struggle with Perkins, during which the author wrote more and more.
Participation of Sean Penn has not yet been finally approved. This month, the actor will begin filming in the movie "This Must Be the Place". It will be a thriller about an aging rock musician who is looking for Nazis, who has put to death his father.
Fate turned the lives of these two dissimilar brothers. Senior - Sam (McGuire) - husband of the beautiful Grace (Portman), a father of two daughters and American military officers, traveled to Afghanistan in the day when the youngest - Tommy (Gyllenhaal) - returns home, coming out of prison.
Soon there came the news that Sam has been shot in the helicopter and died. Sometime later, Tommy and Grace will appear a pair of lovers ... while Sam suddenly gets back from Afghan prison. Drama "Brothers" stirs feelings of tragic conflict of one American family.
The plot of "Brothers" rather secondary - once you learn that one brother was killed and another was left with his wife, immediately recall a few similar films, starting with "Pearl Harbor".
But director Jim Sheridan (who gave an Oscar to Daniel Day-Lewis film "My Left Foot") made "The Brothers" not sprawling blockbuster - and almost documentary intra-drama in the style of "Rachel Getting Married." Capacious and simple story does not capture the plot somersaults - but rather reveals the characters and weaves a tangle of emotions exposing the conflict that has long festered inside.
Therefore the main participants in the picture are the brothers who played Toby McGuire and Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as organically performed the wife of one of them, Natalie Portman. This trio makes a film with a fairly simple and not a new subject in its own fascinating and shrill.
About McGuire, the former undisputed Spider-Man (not yet started to restart with Andrew Garfield), usually say that he is not dramatic actor ! But it is a destiny of know-nothing viewers - because except for "spider" McGuire has played a powerful and profound role in "The Cider House Rules" and "Seabiscuit".
"Brothers" - a sort of peak of his acting: in the movie McGuire shines with reincarnation, comparable to the standard game of Edward Norton in "Primal Fear" and "American History X".
Jake "Donnie Darko" Gyllenhaal presented the controversial image of a loving and sensitive guy who at the same time not always able to cope with his inner demons. History of Tommy and his rivalry with the "best" and more beloved parents, his brother Sam is interesting parallels with the rivalry between the Sam daughters.
Exciting to watch and for the similarity in the manifestations of Tommy's first, and then with Sam's self-destruction of their father - military officer when he returned from Vietnam.
Nathalie Portman with her heroine Grace is a thin material for observations: they are with Sam loved each other since high school, and when informed of his death in Afghanistan, her life seemed broken - what should she do next, how to behave?
"Brothers" - a film halftones, notes in the margins, the whole beauty of which is hidden in details. But, like many other similar filigree work, the film is not finished though: cut off in mid sentence.
The "brothers" conflict is finished on a simple phrase that sounds like "You're my brother." The internal conflict of Sam, a break of conscience after capture in Afghanistan - just honesty.
From this "Brothers" are perceived only a demonstration of acting. Psychological monitoring accuracy in the details and fine texture of the characters - the remarkable elements of this movie.
The novel by Irish writer Paul Murray "Skippy Dies" - included in the long list of winners for the prestigious Booker Prize. Director of the movie "Interview with the Vampire" Neil Jordan will write the script and put it on film.
Now Jordan is working on the show "Borgia" for Showtime. This is a crime drama, action which is developing in Italy, the 13th century. The project was originally intended for the big screen, but the time otherwise. Also, the director assigned to the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novel "The Graveyard Book", but production of this film has not yet planned.
As a result, Neil Jordan has at his disposal next novel, which he would have to make a film. "Skippy Dies" in its genre black comedy. The main characters - school friends Skippy and Ruprecht. Overweight genius Ruprecht Van Doren is fond of complex mathematical problems a weakness for horn and extraterrestrial civilizations. Daniel Juster nicknamed "Skippy" - Ruprecht neighbor through the room. Skippy's mother is dying of cancer, and he himself is being regularly humiliated by Physic teacher. At the Dublin college Seabrook nobody pays attention on them.
But when Skippy falls in love with a girl from another school, his modest person suddenly becomes the object of interest in a variety of characters, including Karl, school psychopath and partly trafficker. While teachers college fight for modernization, Ruprecht tries to open a portal into the parallel universe, Skippy involved in the competition eating donuts, which ended fatally for him. Attempts of Ruprecht to reach his friend after death, poured into a series of bizarre experiments.
The last major release of Neil Jordan was the crime drama "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster, released in 2007.
A year ago the director shot "Ondine" with Colin Farrell, but the fate of the film cash release did not work. Director has won an Oscar for the screenplay for his film "The Crying Game".
Three years after "Die Hard 4.0" director Len Wiseman returns to a great movie. He ended talks with Columbia studio about setting fiction thriller remake of "Total Recall", in the original which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Produced by Neal H. Moritz agreed to launch the project in February last year. Already in the summer was hired screenwriter project - Kurt Wimmer, director of "Equilibrium", who wrote, among other things the script to the action "Salt".
"Total Recall" by Paul Verhoeven was released in 1990. The film was shot on a story by Philip K. Dick "We'll remember you everything". Bought at the Rekall Inc. company implanted memories, the main character can't understand who he really is - womanizer or a secret agent who owns all martial arts. To remember all, the hero is sent to Mars, which he so often sees in dreams.
Verhoeven investigated one of Dick's favorite themes - the reality against illusion. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, the audience did not immediately understand what truth is and what fiction is. However, this did not prevent the film to earn very real money - 261 million dollars in worldwide box office. Adjusted for inflation, this amount today would have exceeded 400 million.
While we do not know in which direction Wimmer will lead the story. Of course, screenwriter modernizes it, but will stick to the story by Dick, is not disclosed.
The producers chose Wiseman for the love of the genre and the ability to shoot action. If the director of the "Underworld" completely agree, it is unlikely to please the studio Fox, which matures plan fifth "Die Hard". Recently, Bruce Willis confirmed that appeared to be the next series of the franchise under the leadership of Wiseman.
As it is known, the Marvel Company is going to throw all its most famous superheroes in a battle with the unknown evil in the film "The Avengers." However, this does not mean that the process of exploitation of the Marvel rich library will be completed. In the coming years, viewers will see slightly less popular, but still supposedly considerable profits heroes, such as Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and others. All of them at least a hearing, but Marvel has other very interesting characters, whose appearance on movie screens, of course, would attract interest.
Let's make a list of our preferences.
Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) - one of the oldest (born around 3000 BC) and the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe. Super-Skrull (Ka `Hg) - the representative of an alien Skrull race and the enemy of the Fantastic Four. Able to take shape of any creature, owns hypnosis can take over the ability of other characters in the Marvel Universe, inter alia, to turn into a flame, as the Human Torch, or stretch his body, like Reed Richards. And whom of superheroes or supervillains Marvel would like to see on the screen?
