1). The author of comics, on the basis of which have been filmed "Wanted" and "Kick Ass", went into directors. Mark Millar is already in the process of manufacturing low-budget movie "Miracle Park", and describes it as a mixture of "X-Men" and "Trainspotting".
Some time ago, in conversation with the magazine Empire, Millar said: "We are trying to remove a movie about super skills, which will be perceived as "Monster" and "Paranormal". We have a small budget, we remove much of the manual camera. It takes place in the Scottish provinces, and the plot is similar to the "X-Men" and "Trainspotting".
This week, Mark Millar gave little details about the plot. "The action takes place in modern Scotland. This is a gloomy and peculiar story about a superhero in the center of which a group of activists to protect the rights of animals. They penetrate into the territory of the research laboratory and find there an underground base, which belongs to the American government. "Miracle Park" violates every taboo movies about superheroes, and offers a completely new look at the genre.
Next, director confirmed that the entire movie really filmed at hand and the camera will be more like "The Last Exorcism", rather than the usual picture of the superhero.
Filming will continue until the end of October. The first trailer can be expected in January.
2). Japanese director Takashi Miike, whose latest film "Thirteen killers" took part in the competition program of the Venice Film Festival in October, has started to shooting the new movie, based on the tape Masaki Kobayashi "Seppuku".
Drama "Seppuku" of 1962 is considered a classic samurai movie and received a special jury prize of Cannes Film Festival.
