One more adaptation of Stephen King book
The right to stage a new, not yet published novel by Stephen King has gotten Jonathan Demme. The director himself will write the script, and produce sci-fi thriller "11/22/63." The numbers in the title - date. On this day has been killed President Kennedy.
The protagonist of a new book by Stephen King called Jake Epping, he worked as a teacher in the town of Lisbon Falls, Maine and works part-time, teaching adults. Once he receives from one of his students an essay: grim first-person story about how 50 years ago, his father returned home and killed his mother, sister and brother.
Over time, the mystery will be revealed as an accurate description. It turns out that in the back room of the local diner is the portal in 1958. Then Jake decided to prevent the assassination of Kennedy and moved to the past. Now his name is George Emberson, he lives in an era of Elvis, large cars and trying to find Lee Harvey Oswald.
Jake falls in love with the beauty librarian and tries to lead a normal life.
The novel "11/22/63" will be released in the United States in November 8, 2011.
Jonathan Demme after the filming of "The Manchurian Candidate" has forsworn to work in feature films, saying that he was going to shoot only documentary films. Fortunately, he caught the script of the drama "Rachel Getting Married" and then director combines feature films with documentary ones.
