Interview with James Cameron
In an interview, timed to release of the director's version of "Avatar," James Cameron says about what new will see the viewers in this version, shares his plans for the continuation of "Avatar" and talks about his new novel.
About "Avatar" 2 and 3.
"I have a story for the second and third parts. Some additional material I learned from my recent trip to the Amazon. There I spent a lot of time dealing with the various local tribes, and image of their life conquers its virgin...
I still have not finished the script, but it is a matter of time. At the moment I'm negotiating on the second part. Once everything is properly decided, I would proceed to work on a sequel".
About the novel based on the "Avatar".
"I am currently working on a novel based on the "Avatar" to be published either in late 2010 or early 2011. For its completion it will take me a few more months. I have not been able to write in while filming the movie, but I always longed to do it.
I did not want the book was low-grade to come to some sort of mercenary and mischief here and there. I intend to create a serious novel, which, ideally, will become a bible for any writer who wants to write a story, taking "Avatar" as a basis. I do not mind to create a new universe, just do not want this happen by the time I get fat.
What should we expect from the director's version of "Avatar".
"Director's version is 9 minutes longer. It will be the scenes with CG-images, no boring scenes on the basis of where someone is talking and drinking coffee.
All the action will occur in the tropical forest Pandora (sometimes at night) will be a great episode of hunting, which involved ikrans. At the end of the film added a very emotional scene."
After bulldozers destroyed Navie settlement, the tribe will take the counter-attack. We'll show what reaction it provoked among the people, and how the war was waged. There will be an episode with Grace at school. We'll introduce you new animals (one of them is in the video game). You'll see a love scene. I want to assure that all the episodes are of the highest quality and absolutely fit into the big picture".
