Interview with George Miller
In an interview to resource ComingSoon director George Miller said about the release of animated film "Happy Feet 2 in 3D" and a possible third part of the franchise, explains the reasons for the delay of filming "Mad Max 4: Road Rage" and why the project "Justice League: Mortal " has stalled.
"Theoretically, we will start working next year," - said Miller about the "Mad Max 4: Road Rage," in which a major role will play Tom Hardy. "We have already 150 vehicles."
Watching the draft fans had the opportunity to see some of these machines, when it began production process seemed inevitable. Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
"Everything was going smoothly," - says Miller. "We were ready to start shooting in the Australian desert, when the rain struck this unprecedented and turned what had previously been virtually flat barren wasteland into a flourishing garden. Vast salt plains in the heart of Australia, where usually are speed races, is now teeming with pelicans and fish ... We were left without desert ... "
Despite the hope that production process will begin in 2012, Miller stresses that can’t be anything with certainty until the camera will work.
"You know, John Lennon said:" Life - it's when all that you have scheduled, launches "- smiles Miller. Movies continue to be born in my head, and I never know which one I'll take first. We are going to Common work together to "Justice League". He had to play Green Lantern, but, despite the fact that the project is almost given a "green light", the plans were upset. But I have a really fell in love with a guy, so called him and said: "You can not play the Green Lantern, but what about penguin? "
Casting in "Justice League: Mortal" was completed when the project stalled. In addition to Common, have been invited DJ Kotrona (Superman), Adam Brody (Flash), Armie Hammer (Batman) and Megan Gale (Wonder Woman).
"This happened for several reasons, moreover, was the height of the writers' strike," - says Miller. "In general, draw a specific fault in what happened, or rather did not happen".
At the moment, however, Miller has no regrets about any of them unrealized projects, but rather looking forward to the continuation of animated film "Happy Feet".
"People really think," What happened? "With me" - laughs Miller. "But I really love the" Happy Feet "... I like to shoot these cartoons, I capture the process. They are incredibly hard to do, they require much time and effort."
At one time, completing work on the first part, Miller knew that he would certainly want to shoot a sequel. Will there be a third trip, with the same confidence he could not yet say.
"It sounds funny, but if you put a gun to my head and say," You must shoot the "Happy Feet 3", I reply, "Shoot!" I do not have the faintest idea of what may be the third part. Stories, like, get into you ... You're just letting them creep into your head through your ears, as if they were earthworms, and from there they then do not drive. If this happens, and we get the energy boost, we'll take the third part. In another way, will not work: the idea must be present. I really like the second movie was better than the first.”
