Daniel Radcliffe will play Allen Ginsberg
Daniel Radcliffe in all possible forces is trying to go away from the stereotypes associated with his stay in the role of magician Harry Potter. The actor starred in the horror "The Woman in Black", plays on Broadway, and now comes off as a beatnik poet Allen Ginsberg.
More recently, this role was played by James Franco in the drama "Howl." Ginsberg as a character has been appearing in various scenes from the seventies. Therefore a great variety of actors have played him - John Turturro, Hank Azaria, David Cross, Ron Livingston - but Ginsberg for the first time will be shown so young.
The founder of Beatles movement Allen Ginsberg took an interest in poetry in his youth, but at the insistence of the family was preparing to become a lawyer. During his youth he showed political activism, participating in political protests of different manifestations - from the Vietnam War to the fight against drugs.
Ginsberg adds spice to the history of the fact that the poet was an openly gay and has lived with his partner, writer Peter Orlowski, more than 30 years.
The project, which, according to the site Twitchfilm, will participate Radcliffe is called Kill Your Darlings. For the first time about it was announced in 2009 and auditioned for the lead role Jesse Eisenberg, Chris Evans and Ben Wishaw. Since then much water has flowed under the bridge, the actors have changed, so that the director-debutant John Krokidasu had to find a new hero.
In the independent film scripted by Austin Bunna actions will focus on the relations of Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr. Who exactly will play the remaining characters, has not been announced.
Daniel Radcliffe, this year, has farewell to the Harry Potter franchise and eyeing the independent projects. In February of this year the actor has eyeing the role in the comedy "Amateur Photographer", but so far the fate of this film is foggy.
