Pre-game show that started at 2 pm and went before the game, collected an average of 22 million viewers. At the awarding ceremony there are about 66 million viewers, about 14% worse than last year's result.
Immediately after the broadcast of the match, as you know, went out the next series of Glee, which brought 26.8 million viewers, ranking in the category of 18-49. Mini-contest with The Office, which came after the game in 2009, Glee has won, but in 2008 House MD has shown better rating.

In the U.S., once again handed out statuettes of Emmy Awards. Best Drama Series for the third consecutive year, recognized a "Mad Men", telling about everyday life of an advertising agency in 1960 (this year the movie has gotten 17 nominations).
The best comedy series became "Modern family" that cost the leader in nominations among comic TV series - "Glee", presented in 19 categories, but lost in most of them. But for the creators of "Glee" such failure does not mean a complete fiasco. The series already has to its credit a Golden Globe for Best Series (Musical or Comedy), won both times in competition with "Modern Family".
The grand project of producer Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks' "Pacific" (23 nominations), which is a continuation of the famous military-historical epic "Band of Brothers", was the best television mini-series.
Long before the ceremony the winners were known in many technical nominations, as well as the names of those actors that were invited to the best projects: among them, John Lithgow (for "Dexter"), Neil Patrick Harris ("Glee"), Ann-Margret ("Law & Order. Special Victims Unit") and "the most popular of modern Hollywood's Grandma" Betty White, received a statuette for her participation in the show "Saturday Night Live".

“Glee” it’s all began with a “High School Musical”

In one of the interview someone of the "Glee" has noticed - without the "High School Musical" there wouldn't be this show.
Today, musical as a genre has become very popular in the cinema. This is even has sung on 81th (the latest, this year) Oscars Hugh Jackman. But for the upsurge of interest in musicals among younger viewers, we certainly have to thank Kenny Ortega, the creator of "HSM". Ortega is primarily a choreographer, but also he is a great director. For a simple material to reveal so touching story and deliver such emotional and catchy performances. Bravo!
After the stunning success of "HSM", all of these tops the charts, hysterical girls against Zach Efron, the rapid take-off thereof to the Hollywood ladder (and off the deserved - the guy is very talented), could only wait, when television will take up the development of this fertile virgin lands. In general, even in the "Glee" there are some moments, repeating the situation in "HSM"...
If you compare it initially seems that everything about one and the same: students sing and dance, love, on the threshold of adulthood make a choice on which depends the future life. A nice little paradise with beautiful boys and girls, spectacular dances and good songs. But on such sweetie (fluffy and pink) feeding this series wouldn't survived for so long time.
Therefore "Glee" is much tougher then "HSM". And what is natural (but still amazing): in "Glee" almost no love problems, it is not the most important of all is happening. Much more important are questions of creative realization, self-esteem, self control and the ability to stand up for your own happiness without regard for anyone else.
If Troy (captain of the basketball team) friends in "High School Musical" have laugh on him, but soon began to sing with him, then Finn's (the football team captain) everything was a little bit difficult. He is forced to go through a real humiliation, even through physically unpleasant things. And though he likes to sing, he turns out to lure in the chorus only forgery (marijuana in the locker), and threats.
If in the case of Troy and Gabriella in "High School Musical" can be said that these two are now forever the idyllic together (at sunset), then Rachel and Finn have problems on becoming a couple. Normal human relations, rather than "love to the grave". Normal human priorities: success, the desire to be accepted and understood, and not "for your love I will give everything in the world.
If cool and quite heterosexual Ryan from "HSM" easy turns athletes "to dance" (and those short break and unconvincing, to say, "I don` t dance"), then the football team of the "Glee" experiencing real psychological breakdown, and only realized its futility, with the filing by Kurt (not heterosexual, very vulnerable, but still stubborn and talented young one) starts to shake a leg before filling the stands under the "Single Ladies".

What about the musical component, then, of course, to write original songs and put acrobatic dances in the TV show, which is shown every week, nobody could. Dancing in the "Glee" is more rustic, but for inexperienced students it is natural, and because of genuine emotional submission looks very good. In Lea Michele (Rachel) the vocal is clean, strong, rich timbre and with a wide range (Selin Dion "Taking Chance" the girl sings more interesting and more powerful than well known diva). African-American Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) has mastery vocal of African-American techniques. Kevin McNeil (Artie) is amazing, "luxury" baritone. To divide on parties, rehearse, record at the studio and play in front of the camera in 5-4 performance per week - great work. Amazed applaud standing!
What I particularly like that the actors play sincere here. Several times I met at different sites assertions, saying, lousy actors, watch only of the musical performances". But, first, if there was no acting talent, what would be those performances? And secondly, on some viewers, it seems to me is just such a specific selective blindness.
To series creators there is separate ovation for the elaboration of interesting images. Some of the characters never replicated, while the standard has unexpected dashes (for example, Finn - the typical "popular guy" - suddenly cares for his mother, and yet he is "big-eared" and trusting). Or take quite episodic character: Kurt father (actor - Mike O `Mally). Simple working man. His reaction to the recognition of son homosexuality and the pity makes us smile and respect this man.
In summary, I recognize that the emotional harsh, which pushes each subsequent series (bring such nice guys! Which, however, don't hang the jib, and even incendiary sing), I was a little confused. But who knows what will develop next event? In any case, I am very grateful and Kenny Ortega, and Ryan Murphy. Such rejoicing I have been not given by any TV series or movie as presented "High School Musical" and "Glee". I love you, you know, good voices and a storm of sincere emotion.
