The only thing that comes to mind after watching the first episodes of "Jericho" TV series are unexpected. It stands out among the flow series do not bear any semantic loading. After you'll view it, you'll start thinking ... and how long would you survive? Could you make your own rules of the new world and not lose your "humanity"?
About the plot. This series demonstrates that what can become with the world in the event of nuclear war. This is especially important in our turbulent times. Residents of Jericho are facing a big problem: how to keep order, where to get fuel, food and more. Of course, all this is accompanied by, and human victims. But this is only one city, all actions take place in the U.S. But what if this happens all over the world? On the other hand such kind of plot is rather hackneyed.
About actors. Watching movies (any one) sometimes you think: "This actor would play better", sometimes you don't even think over the play of certain actor.
Jericho" is it something third. It's simply impossible to imagine another cast. Like a role written specifically for those actors. They really convey the image of the character the way it should be, the change at least one actor it would have been a regular series of the second category. One can also note the external representation.
Well, all actors are rather great. Especially Lennie James. I really liked his role of the mysterious police officer from another city, and he played it well qualitatively, not bowing stick with the importance of his character. Not bad shown himself Skeet Ulrich, the hero - is something like Shepard from "Lost". The same respectable citizen in this situation, rescuing those in need, but not without a skeleton in the closet, so to speak.
"Jericho" music fits perfectly into the overall process, diluting the monotonous scene and keeping busy in the right spirit of situations. Some of the tracks are not sin to listen once or twice outside of series view.
About continuation. Despite the fact that the first season finale has left open, the second season of the series look like some far-fetched, there is no feeling that arose before the plot moved to the size of the country - has changed the main theme, harmonious work, of which I spoke as if disappeared somewhere.
Too bad that the series has turned out short, but it was enough to satisfy the needs of the audience and reveal the most important things...
