Fringe - series with the controversial fate, both rated and creative. Starting with a great name in producing and concept of "a la The X-Files", it riveted the attention of audiences and critics, avid to qualitative sci-fi, which, with rare exceptions, experienced a crisis on their television screens since the beginning of the two thousandth.
The pilot did not disappoint the expectations of Fox, seizing on the new series from JJ Abrams, and collected a decent rating, but that audience expectations were too high: Fringe turned out not more than the relatively expensive fantastic procedural, which appears to have promised to commit particularly outstanding, and somehow too intrusive emphasized spiritual relationship with its iconic predecessor. Another thing is that comparisons with The X-Files, did not comply with: the local main characters Olivia and Peter clearly losing Mulder and Scully as the charisma and chemistry, which was conceived to be sparked between the characters. For a long time the only actor attraction of the show remained John Noble, brilliantly performed the role of mad scientist Walter Bishop.
But the most painful step, which creators have set themselves, would be an undoubted advantage, if Fringe wouldn’t be basically procedural. Through-out the plot in such a thoughtful and exciting, that any retreat from it, any series of vertical-investigation (which, moreover, seemed to be constructed in one and the same pattern), met with irritation rather than interest. This situation has persisted for a half seasons, and seemed, Fringe and will remain in the history of television a lacking sci-fi, representing value only for the fans, diligently are found hidden in each batch of observer or unraveling the encrypted message (to the fans of the series generally feeds a special affection and always be their occupation). But in the second half of the second season, everything has changed.
Whether the creators finally spotted plot and cast potential of their project, whether it was all part of some diabolical plan, but after a winter hiatus 2009-2010 series flourished and threw out all its unrealized potential. In mythology, there was a tremendous jump in (the same was with Lost) and Noble had to share the pedestal of fame with the actress Ann Torv which has greatly transformed before our eyes. This change has benefited including actors: obeying the script, they had to play not only their characters but their doubles, and characters pretending to be twins - a serious challenge, requiring the use of acting talent to the limit and show viewers how well it was chosen the cast.
In addition, the writers have managed to register a horizontal plot line so that it is not for one second left on the screen of the events unfolding in the most independent episodes. Narrative began to line up, if not a fundamentally new way, then certainly with much more dynamics and meaningfulness.
Suddenly, Fringe has become one of the best dramas on terrestrial television, but with this began desperately to lose popularity.
From series to series, it became more and more interesting, but the ratings dropped lower and lower. Perhaps the viewer's patience is exhausted at the most inopportune moment, but it is likely and that those viewers who watched and loved the Fringe, watched and loved it as an heir to "The X-Files" to their permanent tantalizing suspense, and the fierce narrative jumps that happened later, is simply scared away.

That's the season finale. Perhaps he was not so very stunning, as was mentioned in more than one interview with the actors of the series, but nonetheless, this episode was unforgettable. We not only received many answers, but the great questions (one for sure) in the future.
Let's start with the end. Most of all I felt that "our" Olivia has died. And how glad I was when I realized she is alive. And that goes to the substitution, and then personally I immediately made it clear as soon as Liv resuscitate Bell. Although, I do not think that the creators of the series was an obvious desire to end the series to hide the substitution. What next? Alternative Olivia (the authors call her Bolivia) now resembles one of the Zombie-Soldiers, which have also intruded into our universe and received instruction using the typewriter.
Even with the last episode, we all had suspicions that the Minister did not just back home, Peter. And our fears were not unfounded. After all, Peter is the very essential part for the huge machine designed to destroy "our" world - a source of energy required to run it.
And it's good that he realized that a world where it raised, is in danger and went over to the friends. Although, I think, and everything was pretty predictable.
Peter and Olivia. As we have seen and assumed another factor in the return of Peter to "our" universe has begun his feelings to Olivia. In this episode the first time they kissed, and actually confessed to each other in love. And this is what overshadows all the reality, that Liv that he lived was locked in an alternate universe. Their relationship ended before it started. I think Peter was the first who noticed Olivia stand-in. Well, at least, I want it to be this way.
As for me, so I was waiting for a meeting at least some of the hero with the alternative itself. And I saw what I wished! The fight of two Olivia was inimitable. However, apart from the scene of their confrontation I really liked the scene of their conversation about mother, Rachel and Elle. As we saw, in the alternate universe Olivia's mother is alive, but Rachel died in childbirth.
Despite the difference in the two universes, the lives of both Olivia are similar: in "our" universe she has no personal life, her mother died, but she has a sister and niece in which she doted; with the alternative universe, Olivia has a man, her mother is alive, but she hasn't sister and niece. Each of these two women in their miserable, each of them is deprived of something important in life. Therefore, I am frankly sorry that they could not get along with each other and understand that they have more in common with each other than differences.
We finally became more aware of the friendship history between Bishop and Bell. At first they met in an alternate universe was immediately noticeable tension in their relationship. And from Walter, we all saw the hatred to the friend. But why has Walter so hated Bell all these years? Because he cut the part of the Walter brain tissue, and now Walter deprived of memories about his wife, his son and about the past. But. Walter also didn't remember that Bell did so, because Walter has asked him about this favor. We've already seen what could be Walter, if he did not have missing parts of the brain... Walter felt that he turns into something terrible, and asked Bell for a favor. Apparently, the history of this conflict has been exhausted. But there is another - the creation of Massive Dynamic, which provides technology to "our" universe the parallel one. Walter accuses Bell that he was enriched at the expense of other universe resources.
Also, we finally discovered Zombie - Soldiers are the handiwork of Bell. And we learned what happened to the alternate Bell - in his youth he has died in a car accident. Thus, alternative Walter and William will have never met each other.
Well, finally, we have gotten answer to our main question - whether Peter will be able to forgive Walter? Yes, Peter cannot look at the correctness of the incident from his father, but he understands the significance of his actions, which he undertook to save Peter life.
Well, this episode was really great! We learned a lot and puzzled even more. A little hurt from the fact that William Bell will no longer appear in the series. I think that his line could reveal even better. But I think the history of the relationship between him and Walter, we would get to know to the end.
The long-awaited romantic line in the series didn't delight us long, I think the full disclosure, we will see any time soon.
P.s. For fans of Sci-Fi genre, there are good news ... FOX extends series Fringe for a third season. Despite the fact that statistically the Fringe is only 50th among the key audience of 18-49 years, with an average audience of the series is 7.6 million people, the FOX bosses decided that in a highly competitive market on Thursdays Fringe dignified.

The second season of Fringe serial is one more masterpiece of a truly productive career at the American filmmaker J.J. Abrams. Even being a screenwriter of several horror and thrillers, he produced the spy series "Alias", followed by producing one of the most popular series of contemporary television - Lost.
Then teleport to the great film directorial debut with "Mission: Impossible 3" and mastermind behind the movie "Cloverfield". And now, Abrams again returned to television with a sci-fi series called "Fringe".
The serial tells the story about a series of biological crimes taking place in the world. They began to investigate the FBI's specialists, the key character in which an agent Olivia Dunholm. The starting point for the development of serial narrative is a personal tragedy Olivia, which is already in the first episode.
However, at first "Fringe" struck me as a pretty good continuation of the once popular "X-Files", but later I began to consider it as an independent project. I was amazed at everything: the idea, excellent graphics and of course the main characters:
Olivia Dunham - an enterprising FBI agent. In her life there is only work and nothing more. At first, this heroine seemed too serious and boring, but now I realize that such is the idea of the author, the more it should be noted that the actress kept in terrific shot.
Peter Bishop - my favorite character, although I felt that he was supposed to be the image of the "bad boy" who is not friendly with the law, but he was a true hero, willing to help everyone, anyone can.
Walter Bishop - funny, kind, brilliant and damn strange scientist who is able to throw something at the crucial moment, not the loss of heated scenes.
