Sooner or later the actor Russell Crowe wants to sit in the director's chair and personally shout "Action!" Russell Crowe is eager to make his debut in directing for several years. For his first film, he chose a criminal drama "77", the effect of which will unfold in the seventies of last century.
The plot of the film has based on the story of writer James Ellroy, the master of detective, whose "LA Confidential" was filmed in 1997. The film "The Black Dahlia" based on the novel, has been filmed by Brian De Palma, and for the "White Jazz" for a long time has been watched George Clooney.
The movie is based on real events. In 1974 there was a shootout between the LA police and simbionistic Liberation Army. The actions of the film "Sucker punch" take place in 1950. To remove all traces of his crime, the evil stepfather sends a young girl, the witness of the crime, to a psychiatric hospital, where he pays a local doctor in order he makes lobotomy for her as soon as possible. A girl, which hospital staff simply calls a doll, submerged in her own fantasy world, where imagines her escape from the crazy hospital. On this deal she has only 5 days.
Unfortunately, this story is the most disastrous part of the picture. Hallucinogenic delirium and nothing more. As the story, offscreen voice will always talk about a guardian angel, fight for our own destiny, but it exists in complete isolation from what is happening on screen. Even the final monologue is not quite fit in with what are doing the main character at this moment.
In addition to the impressive design of the characters and scenery, it should be noted, and local action. The Council of Dads (FOX) - one-part documentary comedy is based on a book of Bruce Feiler. A man discovers that he was dying and, therefore, seek the promise of five friends to help his wife in bringing up their two children. In the book, Feiler told his story, when in 2008, found himself in life-threatening cancer, and, feeling that father's absence in the lives of his two daughters to anything good for them does not lead, formed a "Council of the Dad’s" which consisted of six of his best male friends who agreed to assist in education. Fortunately, in reality, Feiler is fully recovered and have recourse to the plan and not have to. ... For the life in the quiet town is closely watching the bikers from the club "Mayan family" and neo-drug dealers, whom the "sons" are prevented from doing business, and they had no objection by any means clear the way to the streets of their city.
