“Bone” comics will become a movie
Funny bald white men with round noses from the comic "Bone" will be the heroes of the full-length animated film that put director of "Peter Pan" and "Shopaholic" P. J. Hogan.
Comic book author Jeff Smith drew three stories of fun characters from 1991 to 2004. In comic books, "Bone" has ten prestigious awards, "Eisner", eleven "Harvey" and several other prizes. In 2005, Time magazine included "Bone" in the top ten English-language graphic novels.
Brothers Foyn Bone, Smiley Bone and Foni Bone had been expelled from Boneville the Valley after a failed break out Foni for mayor of the city.
The original comic tone later replaced by a more serious, and partly caused the popularity of the "Bone."
Film rights to Jeff Smith's comic book has acquired studio Warner in 2008. Dan Lin is producing the project, who worked on duologue "Sherlock Holmes", "The Departed" and fourth "Terminator". Australian screenwriter Justin Monge worked on the screenplay for the animated film and has written several versions. The company Animal Logic even had time to develop a test character animation.
It would seem that the process will go faster now. However, studio Warner recently gave the script to rework. This will do Patrick Sean Smith, creator of the popular U.S. television series "University". He will work in partnership with Hogan, who will shoot the film in his native Australia, where based Animal Logic.
Now, Jay P. Hogan suggests putting the finishing touches on comedy Mental, which in the title role is Toni Collette, the star of his film "Muriel’s Wedding".

“The Expendables 2″ with PG-13 rating
Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that "The Expendables 2" will get a PG-13 rating as opposed to its predecessor. Partly to blame Chuck Norris, who agreed to star in "Expendables 2" only if it will have a "child" rating.
Chuck Norris let slip in an interview with Polish newspaper Gazeta. The actor said that PG-13 for movie was one of his terms and conditions upon signing the contract to the shooting.
That's what said cool Walker: "In the script of "The Expendables 2" there has been a lot of foul language in the dialogues, so that young people will be not allowed to see it. But I do not starred in such films. And he said that I will not participate in the project, if the dialogs will not be changed. Producers have accepted my condition, so that now the film was rated PG-13. "
Given that at the "Expendables 2" dialogues, to put it mildly, are not the main thing, but the main in action scenes is a lot of violence. Wondering the same site Slashfilm, has discovered an interview with Chuck.
Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone wrote a letter to chief editor site Ain't It Cool News Harry Knowles, which states: "Harry, the film turned out fantastic, Van Damme played just fine ... But our final battle is over the age of the viewer. Rumors of a PG-13 - it's true. But before you begin your readers to voice their opinions on this issue, believe me, that movie was very ambitious in all respects. Painting involves a range of emotions that we would like to share with the widest possible audience."
The director of "The Expendables 2" is Simon West.
Script from Joel Edgerton
Australian Joel Edgerton while making his first steps in Hollywood, but has proved himself on the other side. The actor sold his first screenplay entitled "One Night Stand" production company New Regency.
Genre of Edgerton scenario is described as a drama with comedy elements. This is a candid look at the man and woman trying to understand the consequences of single-sex. Joel Edgerton will not appear in the film, but he will be executive producer.
New Regency in admiration of the script and in the coming weeks will begin to search for a director for the project.
Joel Edgerton starred in the underrated sports drama "The Warrior", and also took part in the remake of the horror film "Something". Now he was shot at Baz Luhrmann film "The Great Gatsby."
In Edgerton soon go to the set of the new project of the murder of Kathryn Bigelow bin Laden. At the film also will shoot Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez and Mark Strong.
Recently, the name of Edgerton is on the list of the most promising young actors, but the latest films with his participation in the United States have shown themselves not the best way. "Something" has earned in the United States a little more than 16 million, and "Warrior" - 13.5 million dollars. The actor needs a hit to break out into the real stars. However, there is a chance that Joel and entrenched in a story assignment.
Note that this is not the first time when Hollywood buys the script written by the actors. Relatively recently, Wentworth Miller has also tried himself as screenwriter - now "Stoker" in his script shoots Park Chan-Uk and Charlie Hannem, who wrote a story about a young Count Dracula.
Shortlist of foreign movies from Academy Awards
Year after year, repeated the same thing: among the candidates for the winners "Oscar" in nomination "Best foreign film" is bound to be missing some decent pictures. This year, the Finnish cheated "Le Havre" and Hungarian "Turin Horse," but included the Iranian "Divorce Nader and Simin," and the German documentary "Pina". In total, the short list includes nine paintings.
Long-list consisted of 63 films. They are all members of the Academy Awards show up in mid-October to 13 January. Chose six pictures, then a special committee, elected recently added three more films.
The shortlist is as follows:
"Rundskop" - Belgium, directed by Michael R. Roskam;
"Mr. Lazar" - Canada, directed by Philip Falardo;
"Omar killed me" - Morocco, directed by Roshdy Zem;
"Pina" - Germany, directed by Wim Wenders;
"Note" - Israel, directed by Joseph Cedar;
"Divorce of Nader and Simin" - Iran, Asghar Farhadi, director;
"SuperClasico" - Denmark, directed by Ole Christian Madsen;
"The tragedy of Sediq" - Taiwan, Wei Te-director Shen;
"Shelter" - Poland, directed by Agnieszka Holland.
The shortlist will be reduced to five candidates, which will be nominated for "Oscar".
Four years ago the Film Academy changed the rules of selection of foreign films in the "Oscar". Criticism intensified Americans every year: more and more cinema academics missed the pictures, marked by big European prizes and include unknown claimants.
The system have been tried to upgrade a few years, but eventually the issues still cannot avoid. Memorable event in 2007, when the Romanian film "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" flew past nine, formed by a committee of 30 cinema academics. One would think that 30 is easier to reach an agreement, rather than hundreds, of which not all watching foreign movies, and vote for the only known picture.
As a result, now we have a system, adopted in 2008.
Still, "foreign" "Oscar" this year will raise questions. How at the list came almost five-hour tape from Taiwan "Tragedy Sediq" extremely cool accepted in Venice, where it was displayed in the competition? Why ignored "Flowers War" Zhang Yimou? Where did "The Turin Horse," deserved the Grand Prix at Berlinale 2011? Why can not the Turkish drama "Once in Anatolia", received in the past year, the Grand Jury Prize in Cannes?
As always, there are no answers to these questions. Already we can assume that the "Oscar" will get an Iranian drama "Nader and Simin Divorce", which received the "Golden Bear" at Berlin Film Festival. However, a complete list of nominees will be known at ceremony on February 26.

Interview with Rooney Mara
Actress Rooney Mara, who plays Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's new thriller "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and put forward for this role the award "Golden Globe" in an interview with PARADE told of her character and attitude to it.
About her heroine
"I spent a year with my heroine, and there are so many things I love about her. I think she is compelling, therefore, you immediately fall in love with her, although sometimes you do not agree with what she was doing, you are surprised and upset by her behavior. She is - incredible "layered" character”.
About the samples
"The director asked the casting actresses to read the poem with a Swedish accent, a poem, in their opinion, convey the inner essence of Lisbeth. A few days before the trial, she called and said she wanted me to play few scenes from the movie. Originally they had not seen me in this role, their faces said, "We will not take you. You're not the girl we need". And suddenly they changed their minds: "You will first who will try to play excerpts from the script. "
About confidence that she can play hacker covered with tattoos and piercings
"In my opinion, the samples were successful, and then a few days later I was called by a casting director and said that David Fincher liked my work. We have worked with him for a few days, when I appeared in" Social Network ", and he wanted to explain me what I’ll be involved, if my candidacy is approved. He gave me a detailed list of all the things that I have to do. For example, I'll have to smoke all the time, walking naked to ride a motorcycle and the like. From all this I understood that my samples, in fact, succeeded. "
About getting used to the role – piercings and other
"I think in this movie I’m different from myself out of the movie. I do not think most magazines will want to put my picture in the image on its cover Lisbeth. This part of the society or how much has not changed. I think people will go to the movies, drawn my repulsive appearance. Of course, I read the forums on the network, as people were asking each other: "Why are they made of her a monster?" But I'm sure the same people, coming out of the theater after the movie, will be considered beautiful Lisbeth . And I think it happens in real life - the closer you get to know someone, the more beautiful it becomes for you. I think, Lisbet - one whom you love and who will admire. Appearance in this case - the case of secondary. "
About Daniel Craig
"He's such a talented actor, and I just can not imagine anyone else in this role. You know, when you can not imagine another actor in a role, then, indeed, it had turned out. Daniel was incredibly patient and kind to me. And he's an actor, ready to share his gift. "
About nude shooting
"You cannot prepare yourself for it. I've been involved in kickboxing - it gave me confidence when it is time to undress. My character is incredibly harmonious in her sexual behavior, and I had to show the same thing, acting in the film. I was less vulnerable to other films, but it felt more insecure than in this picture. I think it is a merit of David and the people whom he surrounded himself. I always felt safe under protection and care. "
“Hugo”, movie review
The boy orphan Hugo lives in a small room in the Paris train station. All day long he was watching undergoing people, where everyone has their own thoughts, feelings and goals, whether it's florist, head of the station cafe with a cute little dog in her arms, a librarian or a lame stationmaster. Only occasionally Hugo secretly sneaks through the crowd and the smoke from the arriving train to find some food and, most importantly, find the missing parts of a very mysterious invention, which once he with his father found in the walls of the city museum.
Before us is a wonderful story where the boy with beautiful blue eyes, innocent, was a link between past and present, between reality and dreams. In this case, filled with fairy-tale movie, where the word fairy tale ends just as the opening credits end, we learn from the inside of what it means to lose something that truly love, and most importantly how to fix within a internal clock mechanism, which lacks only a couple of parts to restore its once-forgotten "I". It's easy slyness of the director with the children's hopes and disappointments, under cover of a Christmas tale, the audience dipped into a thin story about people who love what for them was the meaning of life. No wonder more than once spend an internal parallel with the Polish animated short film "Cinema", which lasts only 12 minutes, but with these minutes reveal the hopes and dreams of a man who puts his life into something that truly loves - in the movies.
Everyone remembers and knows the Lumiere brothers, but how many remember and know those of others who stood at the sources, developed the first steps in making a real run with a distance of "The Future". This film Martin Scorsese removed for all those who love the movie wholeheartedly, as if each shot bringing tribute to all those who once upon a time gave people an opportunity to plunge into something unforgettably beautiful. Something great, thanks to which we can dream, idealize, admire, feel illusion, disappointed, afraid to wait for a happy ending and just keep what each of us dearly. Keep time!
