Bill Murray interview
Bill Murray, who took part in the show The Howard Stern Show, timed for release on DVD the movie “Get Low”, answered questions in an interview about "Ghostbusters 3".
- Is it true that the project "Ghostbusters 3" exists and that you are the problem because you do not intend to sign a contract to participate in it?
Yes, I think I’m - the problem. Earlier, I used to represent a valuable thing, and now I’m a problem. Somewhere on my desk lies a script, but I have not read it yet.
- Why didn’t you read it? Because you believe that this crazy idea? In other words, the "Ghostbusters" were on top, you have done your work perfectly and want to move on?
Well, it looks like. I've filmed only in one sequel - "Ghostbusters 2" and the movie turned out not as thought in the beginning. Five years after the first part of the smart agents have brought us all together in one room and ... we really have fun together, I mean, Harold, Danny, myself and Ivan and some other people.
We had a conversation, and Danny and Harold came up with some ideas ... and invented the story, good story, I must admit. I even read a few drafts of a script that has been written by Danny, and the outcome was really cool. So I said yes. You know, we got the pleasure of working together. I want to say that Moranis, Potts – they are great guys that are nice to have deal with.
- So, how is your return to the third part? Does Ivan want to shoot the third "Ghostbusters"?
Yes, Ivan wants it, but ... I owe a debt him, you know. He was puzzled by the fact that I have no desire to participate in this project.
- How long is the script been lying on your desk?
Well, it’s not literally on the table, but somewhere nearby. How long? I do not know.
- In general, you are not interested?
Hmm, I'll get to it (the script) ... I have to do it - I feel at this lousy. I do not want to offend anyone, but it is not main problem that stands in front of me, so I don’t think about it too much.
You know, the studio is excited every 10 years. What they really need is to revive the franchise. I remember when the studio struggled for new "Ghostbusters" actors - Chris Rock, Chris Farley and Chris Crane ... Kris Kringle ... something like this (laughs).
- Do you evaluate this as a veiled threat: either you agree or we will find the new "Ghostbusters"?
This is not a threat, it’s a business - they want to do business with. And today there are people, who are ready to watch the new "busters" and love them because they are still very popular…
Who will be the next Bourne?
In Hollywood, there is one more curious vacancy in reserve for the franchise. Tony Gilroy began casting on his untitled project, which will become a branch of a trilogy about the agent Jason Bourne. Among the contenders for the lead role - Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Hartnett, Tobey Maguire and several stars varying degrees of fame.
The director of "Michael Clayton" has uneasy relationship with Bourne movies. He duly delivered scripts for each of the three films, but with the result appeared on the screen, Gilroy has greatly upset: during work, the films on his scripts were subjected to strong changes. Moreover, he agreed to write the script for "The Bourne Ultimatum" just under the condition that he will never have to talk with director Paul Greengrass.
Now, Tony Gilroy may shoot his "Bourne", as he wanted, so only the main character had to be very different.
Last week the director met with several actors, among whom he hoped to find a new hero of the future action. We note again that it will not be Jason Bourne.
Here are the actors with whom has talked Gilroy: Joel Edgerton, Josh Hartnett, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Paul Dano, Michael Pitt, Oscar Isaac, Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Luke Evans, Alex Pettifer, Taylor Kitsch, Kellan Lutz and Benjamin Walker.
According to Variety, Tony Gilroy have some troubles with choosing the star of his project because he insists on writing tests that do not really like some well-known actors.
Nevertheless, work on the film will begin this fall, and the release of the spin-off is scheduled for August 2012.
What’s new?
1). Film company Universal Pictures will not finance the film of Guillermo Del Toro "At the Mountains of Madness" based on the eponymous work of Lovecraft. Thus, this project was postponed indefinitely. The reasons for this decision of the company management are not disclosed.
Instead of "At the Mountains of Madness" Mexican director will staging fiction film "Pacific Rim" for the studio Legendary Pictures. On a plot of the picture, at the threat of invasion of alien invaders mankind has been forced to forget their internal contradictions and to create joint armed forces to repel an imminent attack. Guillermo Del Toro will begin shooting the film in September 2011.
2). The company Warner Bros. TV has released a statement in which it was announced the dismissal of Charlie Sheen from the television project "Two and a Half Men". In a message to the actor’s lawyer Martin Singer, has been informed that Sheen "recently embarked on a path of self-destruction and, most likely, he is seriously ill". It also refuted the value of the actor for a television project in the filming of which he not only "created a conflict situation at the stage, but often could not remember few lines of his text before camera".
In this case, the leadership of Warner Bros. TV for a very long time without a murmur endure all star antics, changed shooting scenes for his booze and even “granted air plane”, on which Sheen was supposed to fly for treatment at a rehabilitation center.
Sheen responded to the statement on his dismissal in his style. "It's very good news. They continue to violate all the rules, as well as other dinosaurs. Now I can pick up all their billions and no longer going to look at these freaks and wear their stupid shirts. As long as this sorcerer exists in our dimension" – said an actor.
USA weekend premieres
This weekend in the American cinemas will be shown mystical thriller "Drive angry 3D" by Patrick Lyusse and comedy “Hall Pass”, sponsored by Farrelly brothers.
"Drive angry 3D"
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) escapes from Hell to avenge the leader of a religious cult, which caused the death of his daughter and her husband and kidnapped a granddaughter of a risen.
Director Patrick Lyusse has started as editor (this path, incidentally, continued by his son, working among others on projects with father) and colleague of Wes Craven in the early 2000's leaning in the direction where he distinguished himself with three clumsy films about Dracula. Breakthrough for Lyusse has happened with the help of Canadian remake "My Bloody Valentine”, which didn’t fall out of favor with critics and won the sympathy of the audience, which gathered more than a hundred million dollars with a budget of fifteen.
Costs on "Drive angry 3D" amounted to three times greater. Instead of the little-known actors here all the attention focused on Nicolas Cage, actor multifaceted playing in blockbusters, art house tapes and candid recycled. In the 1980's and first half of 1990 was considered in Cage Hollywood almost elitist actor. He played in Francis Ford Coppola (role of his uncle), David Lynch, Alan Parker, the Coen brothers, John Dala (in the final part of his trilogy) and Norman Jewison. After participating in modest comedies like "Guarding Tess" Cage acted in the independent drama "Leaving Las Vegas", where he plays ruin oneself by drink writer who plans to die in a rollicking drinking bout, the venue he chose the capital of gambling.
In 1990 action movies with the actor turns to become hits, like, ironic and effective tape like "Con Air" by Simon West and "Face / Off” by John Woo. But from their appearance, Cage was heavily thinned before the more artistic dimension of his filmography frank unpretentious genre crafts, playing in the ingenious author feeds only sporadically.
So, at least in 2010, Nicholas embodied more appropriate image a Father from comics of Matthew Vaughn "Kick Ass" and after a few months at the box office launched a large-scale, essentially the failed "Sorcerer’s Apprentice". In early 2011 there is a new actor work in Dominic Sena, "Season of the Witch” enraged critics and as close to a commercial fiasco. "Drive angry" - to some extent, as glib and meaningless spectacle, which, according to the star of the project, the creators were treated as absurd grandhouse entertainment.
Despite all the prejudice, the movie didn’t receive a huge portion of negative critics’ reviews.

"Hall Pass"
Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeykis) - two old friends. Both are long-married. In the married life of each of them comes a point when they unwittingly begin to show fatigue outwardly from their wives. Those deciding to save the marriage, give their husbands a week of liberty, when they can do whatever they want and with whom they want. Delighted friends have already anticipated numerous intrigues, but suddenly found out for themselves, that they are not so brave and gullible, as currently thought.
Farrell’s brothers never cease to regale the audience with new tales of the restless idiots who in fact are nearly all of their heroes. Whether it is one-handed bowler Roy ("Kingpin"), two complete nerds Harry and Lloyd ("Dumb and Dumber"), a fantastic loser Ted ("There is Something About Mary"), schizophrenic, Charlie ("Me, Myself and Irene"). Only a film "Osmosis Jones" looks like different, but Farrell’s directed there only live game episodes (Funny animated scene was headed the other directors), just being in the traditional vein of creativity. Pleasure to the amateur, although some courage and some funny jokes allowed to avoid sharp critic.
Farrell's previous work was a remake of a well-deserved melodramatic comedy by screenwriter Elaine May "The heartbreak kid" running by relatives turned from a lovely swatch of the American new wave in the rollicking absurdity. Film "The Heartbreak Kid" did not become a hit, collapsed in the U.S. (and, incidentally, many of the previous tape duo), beating the budget only through the international dues. "Hall Pass” doesn’t base on the physiological drawbacks of the main characters.
Since March 4 at the American box office will start cartoon "Rango" by Gore Verbinski, "Red State” by Kevin Smith, "Take me home tonight” by Michael Hawes, “Loong Boonmee raleuk chat" by Apitchatpon Virasetakun and other films.

In 1990 the novel was made into a movie on a channel BBC. The main role has played Ian Richardson, who has received BAFTA and screenwriter Andrew Davies - "Emmy".
2). Ron Moore doesn’t leave the project "Battlestar Galactica". Creator of Battlestar Galactica has invited into his new project two actors from his cult TV series.

Helfer will play Morgan, necromancer (a magical analogue of the coroner) and an expert in the various potions, herbs and incantations. Kallis has gotten the role of a detective, and Bamber - criminalist. Also, at the project will play Matt Long (The Deep End, Mad Men) and Stockard Channing.

Candice Accola interview about Vampire Diaries
To the attention of fans of the show "Vampire Diaries" interview with Candice Accola (Caroline), in which she talks about her character's development of relations with Matt, and about completely forgotten Tyler.
- What can expect Caroline fans in subsequent episodes?
Tyler (Michael Trevino) has just left town, and Caroline have the opportunity to bring their affairs in order. He robbed her time. Apparently, their relationship was one-sided: she helped Tyler, but from his hand there was no response. And he stood between her and Matt and prevented developing their relations. And now Caroline will be able to return to normal life.
- How are you doing with Matt?
In this episode, they have a chance to talk without the intervention of Tyler, at least there is hope that they finally will discuss all and reach an agreement. That's all I can say.
- Do you think it necessary to devote Matt to the mystery of Mystic Falls?
Well, actually, this series about vampires, so what is the interest to disclose all their secrets? Serial need for some people to remain in ignorance. After all, the best part of watching - it's in anticipation: what would happen when they find out? I look forward to when the authors show tell us about their plans.
- Kevin Williamson once said that someone may not survive until the end of the season? What do you think about the impending death of someone of the characters?
When we first got to the platform, we are immediately warned that this show is about vampires, and many do not survive, it was part of the contract. Such a danger exists but it is better to not get hung up. There is always some other role, although we are all very fortunate to work in such a wonderful team. When you're filming in multiseries show, you become like a big family - we've already almost two years working together. It is still unknown who becomes the victim. We are waiting for news with the same look as the audience.
- And finally, give some spoiler for your fans?
It all revolves around sacrifice, as it happens and who will be involved, it's all we learn from subsequent episodes. These events greatly affect the Caroline, will make her stronger and more confident.
