Review of the drama "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps".
Gordon Gekko a gnome of 1980 came from the jail after being there for eight years instead of his crimes buddies, and publishes the book "Greed: Is it good?". Nobody remembers him. The world has changed. The young dude from Wall Street is going to marry his daughter, who believes Gekko a real scoundrel. Then it has happened bank, and after - the world financial crisis and Gordon Gekko gets a chance to regain financial domination. Oliver Stone has released the "Wall Street: Twenty Years Later" - old man's movie about how the great Greek tragedy has turned into Santa Barbara.
Stone - a very uneven filmmaker: on every his full strong movie like "Platoon," "Born on the 4th of July" and "Natural Born Killers," we have flimsy "Alexander" and "Twin Towers".
Alas, "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" is closer to the second category than the first: continuation of the main financial dramas of all time came loose, naive and overly melodramatic.
Newly released on screens his best (and one of the best in the movie) antagonist, Gordon Gekko, Stone wanted to philosophize and play in "The Devils Advocate" without mysticism the whole movie, Gekko destroys relationship of Jake Moore, the hero of Shia LaBeouf, and his daughter, instead of engaging in financial scams.
For the continuation of his best paintings, Oliver Stone has chosen perfect time. If the first film showed a real scandal on Wall Street - 1985 with insider information, revealing along the way of psychology and morality of Finance, the second could be the chronicles of the crisis - the inheritance of Stone a little more attention to proper anamnesis financial collapse come upon an American and then global market in the late 2000's.

Director of "Watchmen" and "300" Zack Snyder has filmed a stereo cartoon about owlet- warriors, which mixed the great battle with pure joy of flight and the birth of heroes.
Despite the excellent animation and delightful twists, "Guardians" seems a little bit unfinished. Visionary Snyder, who was accustomed to stud frame peas expanding blood in strips with rigid rating R, in creation of children's cartoon seemed taken aback - and crumpled few epics owl legends.
Previous film of director - "Watchmen" - already on the opening titers has been immersed in three-dimensional world of alternative history: perhaps it was in perfect picture and in the absence of words.

"Legends of the Guardians" - a feast for the eyes, even from the second third. In addition to episodes, set in traditional Snyder spirit (Spartans attack), the cartoon impresses with animation, beautiful owls and nature, the majestic backdrop where the action occurs. Owls plumage fluttering in the wind, and for this you can watch with emotion as they want. Movements of birds look so natural and organic, that you involuntarily ask yourself: how many years animators have watched on the owls, so to accurately convey their habits, and gestures on the screen?
The whole cartoon is like continuous visual nirvana.
Under a terrific soundtrack the owls collide in a battle and ride through the fire grate and metal ring claws and helmets, and the characters grow, even in small and clumsy-looking owls. And the enthusiasm is not only on a visual level - "Guardians" delight and wise plot finds, lucidly explaining to the children simple and important things. That war is hell, but not pretentious heroics - and if you have to fight, do not click beak. Appearance doesn't define greatness, only good deals can make from you a hero.
Separately, we should mention and 3D. Stereo effect in the "Legends of the Guardians" is surprisingly nondescript, and absolutely nothing makes an already visually splendid cartoon. All together it produces muddled impression of the new creation by Zack Snyder.

- What are the main differences of the first and second parts of "Deathly Hallows"?
"It will be two very different movies. The first part is similar to the road ... sort of narrative. First of all, viewers will see how the guys will be outside of Hogwarts at the first time, and this is important, because we started shooting the seventh film at a time when started premiere showings of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." When I attended these shows, I kept thinking: "My God, how the seventh film will be different from the sixth," because when viewers see our heroes in a completely unfamiliar situation for them, viewers will have to treat them differently. Still, in the first part is gathering information and data required for the final battle. The second film will be essentially one big battle from beginning to end. Episodes of the battles will be one after other, a kind non-stop battle".
- The shooting comes to an end. Is this a reason to worry or rejoice?
"I feel a strange feeling. It is a very close perspective really: once, a few weeks later, I come here to make up for the last time. Actually, there is no reason for the experience, though, naturally, it will be a very emotional day, the day will say goodbye to many people. Exciting to look forward and wait for something new. But honestly, I really miss the team, which has become a family, and you probably will be impossible to recreate on these projects. - Do you have a favorite movie in Harry Potter saga?
"No. Well, okay, let's say, the fifth. Hopefully, it will eclipse the seventh, both sides of it. But now, it's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". That's exactly it, because I have not changed my mind after the "Prince Half-Blood". You know, I always look forward with fear to journalists questions: "What is your favorite movie?" - About childhood.
"I think the personality development takes place in childhood. Good luck to those who have cool and understanding parents. Unfortunately, this good luck smiles, not to all. And the problem is those three guys is that they have been deprived of parental care. I'm who I'm. I have a very wise parents".

And I think it's more than enough. Three beautiful movies, well enough, now I set foot on another path. Cannot wait for the new series of "Pirates". I'm sure it will be fantastic. I do not regret that I am no longer a part of the project. It is time to dip into other worlds".
- Do you enjoy your work?
"Throughout my life I loved movie. I love this way of escaping from reality, I like romantic stories. Harry Potter without 3D

Due to constant news about three-dimensional format film release one more new about Warner decision not to release the first part of novels "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" in 3D looks like April fool's joke. Release date is not changed, but the viewers do not have to overpay for watching movie in the glasses.
In today's press release, the studio said that they have no ready-made 3D-version of the stated date of the premiere, on November 19. "Despite all our efforts, we were unable to fully convert the movie to the highest standards of quality. We do not want to disappoint fans, so long awaited completion of this remarkable journey,"- said studio management in press release.
Director David Yates added:" This decision, which we have supported with the whole crew, focuses on the fact that for Warner has always been important quality".
Yates words sound a little bit strange in connection of the studio hastily converted "Clash of the Titans" in 3D, which was criticized by both professionals and viewers. However, it is possible that this incident prompted the studio to release "Deathly Hallows" in usual format.
The second part of the film adaptation Harry Potter will be released in theaters July 15, 2011. It's unknown, whether the studio will convert a movie in 3D.
