Angelina Jolie in director role of a new movie in Bosnia

This autumn the star of thriller "Salt" is planning to hold in Eastern Europe. Angelina Jolie will try her hand at directing and made her debut in low-budget drama about love, women and the Bosnian Serb soldiers during the war in the early 1990's.
Jolie often visits this region as a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The actress herself wrote the script and plans to shoot and produce a picture, but remain behind the scenes. All actors will be from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the main language still be English.

"I am currently working on a novel based on the "Avatar" to be published either in late 2010 or early 2011. For its completion it will take me a few more months. I have not been able to write in while filming the movie, but I always longed to do it.
I did not want the book was low-grade to come to some sort of mercenary and mischief here and there. I intend to create a serious novel, which, ideally, will become a bible for any writer who wants to write a story, taking "Avatar" as a basis. I do not mind to create a new universe, just do not want this happen by the time I get fat.
What should we expect from the director's version of "Avatar".
"Director's version is 9 minutes longer. It will be the scenes with CG-images, no boring scenes on the basis of where someone is talking and drinking coffee.

Scandalous Polish director Roman Polanski rarely pleases the audience with his films. But this time his new movie "The Ghost Writer" surprisingly met all expectations.
All his works are quite different, they are impressive and do not believe that this is the same Polanski, in this case may be due to the fact that the film looks too modern.
The reason is that the "ghost" covers quite the modern issues of public nature, it's like the idea reminds one of the chapters of the documentary "Zeitgeist". As a political thriller, the film does not overload the extra information, and presents only what is needed and it seemed to me even a slight to see as the main story plot is valid between several persons, where almost everyone has a skeleton in the closet. But this cabinet without a key, you can simply open. Each character has a literary basis, some perhaps have even real prototypes of existing people.
Unnamed author, on his own head, who agreed to finish the memoirs of former British prime minister suddenly charged with war crimes, his wife and secretary, professor, a strange man at the gate house, security guards, a maid, and even the janitor, who introduces a remarkable picture of humor, they are all perfectly blended in the grim surrounding movie.
Most actions of the drama "Ghost" are on the island, where there is a small town and one of the houses of former Minister. There is the main hero there, a writer completing a book about the famous politicians and is witnessing a watershed event in the political world, while becoming the most targeted by faceless conspirators. Crude, but the cozy atmosphere of the film achieved excellent with the rainy nature and creates a disturbing atmosphere. It is good when they pay attention to the environment, with which it is possible to beat the event.
Concerning cast members, they were turned out quite successful. At the forefront for me came Pierce Brosnan, who vividly portrayed self-confident politician, just a solid person with a certain degree of rigidity in the affairs and requirements for himself and others, restrained, but at the same time very emotional. Ewan McGregor has disappointed me a little, I had him make a zest to his character, a writer, as in any way. It turned out he too unemotional and impersonal, the feeling that the last role he played not at full strength. Olivia Williams, this is the actress, which now comes in emotional stress (in a good way), went to the unprecedented role of the wife of Prime Minister. I remember well the old man, Eli Wallach, who played a small episode, but bright and lively. James Belushi amazed me.
Concluding, I would say that the movie has left pleasant impressions that carry the current thinking of today and looked with interest, especially in the end.

Creators of Facebook want some changes in Fincher project

"Social Network" by David Fincher is one of the most anticipated projects of the year. The film, based on Ben Mezrich book about the establishment of the famous Facebook, was shown to the heads of Facebook Company and they are unsatisfied with it and demanded some changes.
In a conversation with "The New York Times" producer Scott Rudin noted that in the script still made some changes at the request of the Facebook owners. But do not take it as Rudin and Fincher danced together on sponsors' money and filmed two-hour advertisement.
