Martin Scorsese, who directed is not the first movie with Leo, this time tried to make him a real man. The play of DiCaprio is terrific. He's a real actor, which there are a little now. He shows these emotions, feelings, pain, despair, love, confusion, madness, fear. And many others. One missed episode - and, alas, the integrity of the film has already been lost.

She lived, worked, did some good things, helping people, but she herself was nothing, just uninteresting. There was a dampness in her manner, defect. This woman must have been strong and wonderful, bright, strong-willed character, but it lacks the spark of life and passion.
For me this drama is too afloat and slow. If you compare it with a musical instrument, so it plays smoothly, slowly. It does not take the high and low chords, it always sounds in only one style. And it is tiresome. There is dynamism in the film, once again, the passion that simply boils world history. Even the fights look a bit theatrical and monotonous and does not cause a storm of emotions that we must root for the character and experience for him. Well, love line seemed totally unnecessary. Jim Thompson has written the screenplay for the film, the main roles of which were approved by Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando. Shooting of "The killer inside me" was planning to begin in September 1962, but the tragic death of Marilyn destroyed those plans. If the studio has shot that movie, it would be one of the most significant events in the history of world cinematography.
Then, Kubrick has been trying to film the book several times. In 1976 came the first low-budget screen version of "The killer inside me" did not evoke any interest in neither the audience nor the critics. Powerful, hard and extremely frank art-house psychological horror, thanks to the skills of Winterbottom and Casey Affleck demonstrated piercingly accurate portrait of a ruthless killer, who has long been psychologically dead.
