Christian (I) Martin biography
Christian Martin was born in Denver, Colorado in 1975. With his family,
he moved to France when he was 5 years, and then to England at 12. He
attended the Birmingham College of Art and Design before going to
London to study acting at the Crysalis Acting School. After graduating,
he worked in the London theater for two years and toured Corsica with
"A Midsummer Night's Dream." His first film role came in 'Love is the
Devil', directed by John Maybury which was an Offical Selection of the
Cannes Film Festival starring Derek Jacobi and Daniel Craig.
Christian then moved to Los Angeles, where he has pursued his acting
career in film, television and theater. He played a French sailor in
'Master and Commander' starring Russell Crowe. He had the lead in an
AFI short, 'The Mask Maker.' He played the English steersman in '
Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' starring Johnny
Depp and Orlando Bloom. Most recently he guest-starred in the 'CSI:
Miami' 2005 Fall Season episode, '48 Hours to Life'. and can also be
seen in the upcoming film Rendition, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese
Witherspoon.
