Harry Lennix biography
Harry Joseph Lennix--born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 16, 1964, to
Lillian and Harry Lennix--was not always certain he wanted to be an
actor. Always an A student, he decided to act in his high school's play
while he waited for the baseball season to begin. From this bloomed a
veritable bevy of movies and guest-starring roles in many popular
television shows such as ER,
Diagnosis Murder, Century City, and
most recently, House M.D.. Lennix attended Northwestern
University in Evanston, Illinois, where he was recognized in "Who's Who
Among American College Students." He majored in Acting and Direction at
Northwestern and upon graduation stayed teaching in Chicago for a bit,
before moving to New York, and from there to Los Angeles, California.
Harry has two older brothers and an older sister, and often returns to
Chicago to visit his remaining family there. He currently resides in
Los Angeles and has recently finished work on several movies. He will
be participating in the play "Permanent Collection," in Los Angeles, in
which he acted in Chicago, in March of 2005.
