Actor, comedian, composer, singer and author, originally a night-club
comic and a singer for dance orchestras. He served in the US Navy and
joined ASCAP in 1959. His popular-song compositions include "Like Our
Love", "Lonely River" and "Quiet Place".

- Was nominated for Broadway's 1961 Tony Award as Best Supporting or
Featured Actor (Musical) for "Bye, Bye Birdie."
- Voiced the unstable villain "Serpentor" on G.I. Joe and
the reluctant second leader of the Autobots, "Rodimus Prime", on

- Of French-Canadian ancestry.
