Julia Perri biography

Julia Perri was born in Melbourne Australia and is of Italian heritage, her parents originate from Calabria, Italy. Named after Julia Roberts, as the hit film Pretty Woman was released when she was born, her sister eager to name her new baby sister Julia. As a toddler, Julia was already a compulsive performer, re-enacting movie scenes for her family's amusement, putting up plays, and having lead roles in kindergarten productions when she was just 4 years old.

Her passion for performing and playing characters grew. Apart from being apart of the drama class at school, she attended the prestigious Helen O Grady Drama Academy where she won the lead role in every annual production for the duration of her studies there, and was awarded Best Actress in her final year. On her 12th birthday she asked her parents for a video camera, always writing stories and an avid reader, Julia made her first short film. She continued acting at the well known Screen Actors Studio in Melbourne, taking the award for Best Actress 4 times.

At this time Julia signed with an agency and was excited to continue her journey in this magical field of creativity. Since that day Julia has worked on some of Australia's most successful television series. Parts in shows such as 'Neighbours' and 'Home and Away', both are the longest running television series in Australia. Disney's 'As the Bell Rings', and a recurring role on 'Prank Patrol', one of the highest rating children and teenage series in Australia. Taking the stage in various theatre productions including Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet', Moliere's 'Tartuffe' and Alfred Hayes' 'Girl on the Via Flaminia', watching her perform on stage it is obvious she has a rare ability to thoroughly engage her audience.

In 2009 Julia graduated high school, with straight A's earning her a high achievers award. With years of experience and training she followed what her heart was whispering, and made the move to Los Angeles. She began passionately studying at Milton Katselas' Beverly Hills Playhouse one of L.A.'s oldest and most respected acting schools, and then under Chick Vennera at The Renegade Theatre Group. Julia is now managed in L.A. by Christopher M. Parker and Hildi C. Yanez from Access L.A. Talent Management. She is excited about this journey and is looking forward to the many more opportunities which will flow her way. Julia has the character and ambition to be very successful in the entertainment business, and the highly entertaining actress is a joy to watch. In the short time she has been in L.A. she completed a number of films and performed in various plays.

Aside from her love of acting and the film industry, Julia has a number of other interests. Running, yoga and meditation are part of her daily routine, keeping a healthy mind, body and soul. Guitar and music are a part of her life, her favorite artists include Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bon Jovi. Other interests include, art, philosophy, psychology, adventures, traveling the world and exploring, different cultures, Space and reading. Julia's favorite actresses include Julia Roberts and Kate Winslet. Favorite actors include Adam Sandler, Robert Downey Jr and Al Pacino.
