If you take one look at Jon, he stands out right away. Being of so many ethnicities(he is Korean, Hawaiian, Swedish,German and Cherokee) is one reason for that. The other is the fact that nobody in his family is taller than 5' 9" (he is 6' 2 1/2). Jon graduated in May 2007 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a dual degree in Sports Management and Business. The Palatine, Illinois (a Chicago suburb) native was accepted for admissions to law school but knew that life was too short to not pursue his passions. Jon was involved in high school and college athletics, particularly basketball (he boasts a 37 inch vertical leap), football and track and field. He grew up with aspirations of being a professional athlete but always deeply admired those involved in theatre when in high school. In fact, Jon admits that if he could do it all over again, he would have opted to be in at least one of the school plays. Jon also has a second degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and is a former Golden Gloves boxer. He is an accomplished violinist and plays the guitar as a hobby.
